CL Power,
I'm new to this Acura Cl Forum and have been reading a lot of topics about the CL's. I writing to you to find out where in the Rose Bowl you plan to meet these other Acura CL owners? The Rose Bowl is fairly huge and usually has functions every weekend. So it might to hard to find each other. If time permits I hope to be there Saturday morning a 8:00 AM.
Thanks...

When we decide who's going we'll have to exchange cell phone #s.
If it's a large group we should break into smaller groups with a 'leader' for each group. Each group has a list of the cell phone #s of the other members in their group. The leaders have the #s of the other leaders.

On any run-worthy road, cell phones are just about useless. CLpower's got the right idea with respect to radios, although the range of those popular Talkabout-type radios become fairly dismal considering the fact that:
1. You're in the mountains. Those things only work well with line-of-sight, and being around a bend can reduce range significantly.
2. The antenna is in a car, so is partially shielded.
3. The speed with which cars can put distance between each other can render ineffective the 1-2 mile range of these radios.
A partial solution is to work out a message relay system in which leaders can relay info to cars on the periphery though cars in-between.

I'll try to be there as well, but I don't know if I'll have my CL-S by then... If not I may have to pass, I'd just get too jealous... My current ride would be way outclassed.

Thanks Cl Power. Just keep me posted for location of meeting, in the Rose Bowl, through the Acura CL forum and I will check it periodically. As for CB radios and two-way radios I can not help us their in that department. Don't have either.
Thanks...

Current ride is a '98 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS-T (5 speed). I'd probably be able to hang with ya's (maybe even beat a few) but not look nearly as good. ;-) Hope to get a CL-S in the next few weeks tho.
