I still say south of Seattle. It always always always always rains in Seattle.....well at least for the last 2 years worth of Seattle meets.! Southcenter sounds great! It's in the middle and as I recall it was sunny at southcenter while it was raining at last years magnuson park meet. As a matter of fact it was sunny from 2 minutes south of magnusson all the way home to Poor Tortured.

A far south meet would be cool in addition to a Seattle meet. I don't think anyone would show from Seattle if we cruised to Olympia though. Just the hard chargers. I bet more Oregon Aziners would show to an Olypmia meet than Seattlites.

I just want to cruise with a gang of Acuras like the trip we took to BC last year. We pulled in to the park with like 25 pimped ass rides and had everyone jockin.

We cannot reserve the parking lot though. And we could be kicked out by Mall Security. It's happened every other time I've been there chillin' with a big group.

We need to research the parks in Tacoma and such. Then we can reserve a spot like last year. I don't mind paying for it.

how about we coordinate the meet with an autocross event? I think there is an event in Everett on 24-25...its like $30-35 for basically an all-day event. It was a lot of fun last time I went, and rain or shine it'll be entertaining regardless

$500 and a full days class for your first license is the only way to get your car on the track. Just checked in to it last week after watching the TSX's take 1st and 3rd in the St. Pete Grand Prix. I decided that it's time to get her on the track since I own a track worthy vehicle.

I took the Proformance Race School this spring. It was $475 I think for the all-morning classes and an entire afternoon of open-lapping with an instructor. Probably the most fun I've ever had in any sport. You need to take a follow-up course for $275 to complete the classes and get the ok to do solo open-lapping. Each track day is $175 + tires, brakes, oil, brake fluid, gas, etc. Not a cheap sport but worth every penny.

We could meet at any of these events for some drag racing. I'm 90% sure I'm going to go today. Gates open a 4pm today.

I know it's off topic.. but I need some input from my fellow washington ppl.. since it rains a lot here.. do any of you run a CAI setup.. without worrying about hydrolocking.. i'm talking about injen.. or aem without bypass.. not comptech.

My friend has an integra and switched from CAI to short ram.. cuz of the 'risk' in seattle. He just scared the shit out of me..

Um..... No question is a dumb question. But I think you're gonna get a lot of dumb answers. I think that you know the solution to your intake questions.

here's my

i would stick with shortram if i was u ... its pretty much the same amount of performance.. and its safer in seattle

one big puddle can mess up your car if u have CAI

so pretty much the answer is go with comptech icebox.. cuz the filter is closer to the top right? or just a normal short ram?

yeah

comptech icebox is great and all.. but the price is too expensive IMO.. if i where u .. i would just buy a injen or a AEM off ebay.. u could probably pick one up for around 200 (brand name)

generic ones run around 30-50 bucks

here .. its a CAI.. but the price is pretty good.. i would consider it if i where u..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AEM-C...ayphotohosting

as long as u dont live out in the boonies.. i dont think u have to REALLY worry about water getting in your intake.. my buddy in his civic has no problems.. and he's been driving around for like 3 years in seattle with a CAI

Your decision bro. I have used every intake setup between my CL and TL-S. The Comptech Icebox is, by far, the best intake. My second fav is a modified version of the stock airbox. If you dig a true cold air intake then I recommend the Injen setup.

That would be so much fun! Can't wait till I can afford it. For now the money has to go to finish paying off my Hawks Tix since they are due tomorrow.

I think the track would be a good meet spot. You know we're not going to get kicked out and we can check out other cars as well.

Since it's real race track i'm sure there will be way more than enough parking for a tiny little car meet like ours. They normally have to accomidate large crowds. Then maybe we can just bumrush the track haul ass

And from that point you know there's got to be some sweet Mt. pic spots.

I'm so excited for our Seattle meet. I don't know of any good places because i'm not experienced in the 'meet' aspect. Hurry and find a location!

On another note (i'm really sorry guys), but people never respond me in normal threads. Does anyone know of a good shop where I can get my H&R sports installed for cheap? Preferably around Bellevue (the east side). Is under $150 a normal price?

Yes ----> JTso <---- He lives in Renton though, but I think he might be able to beat the price. Besides that he's an Acurazine Mod as well so you'd be keepin it in the family. He installed my Tein SS setup for me way cheaper then any of my other estimates.

I ran the AEM intake for 4 years in Seattle. The only way you're going to hydrolock the engine is to completely submerge the end of the intake below water. To do that you literally have to drive through about 10 inches of water. Otherwise, it is impossible to suck up enough water to cause a problem. Just avoid running your car into any lakes and you'll be fine! Plus, nothing sounds as good as the AEM.

$150 is a very reasonable price but it isn't a very hard DIY mod. Change to some Koni Yellows while you're at it!
