I'm opening the door to yet another chapter of the great WCM saga. I've had the pleasure of meeting up for the past 2 WCM's and I'm always sad to go home. Great bunch of people w/ a bunch of cool cars. WCM3 was in Portland with drives out to the coast. Quite a few people showed up since it was in Portland. WCM4 was in Medford, OR with drives out to Crater Lake. A hearty bunch endured the drives for this one.

So... the questions are mainly - when and where?

I propose mid-late August so people have some time to get time off from work and organize a free wknd away from the kids/wife/husband. The weather should be pretty nice and safe from rain.

We will be inviting people from CA, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, Canada. Since people will definitely be coming up from CA and (so far) unlikely to come from Vancouver, I propose we keep the meet a little more south as in the past years. I would ideally like Portland while the CA guys would probably prefer Medford. Since I started this thread I get to vote Portland! Maybe we could find a drag racing day at Portland International to attend. Here are a couple drag nights:

Thanks for posting this thread. I'm down for either Medford or Portland. Also, the dates you selected work for me. BTW, have you heard from Glenn? He posted something about a WCM4.5 a while back, but was never heard from since.

I gotta get my ass to a WCM.....Would earlier in August be possible? I'm in school by that weekend

 

I can only do late July or early August.

 

If earlier dates are needed I'm back in the US Aug 10 and moving up to Oregon on the 13th so anytime around there as well

 

I'm totally out of any WCM this year. July is about to hit, then it's good ol' inventory time for work. August gets booked w/ vacations, so I can't take any time off. September will be a mad dash for the wedding.

I can only make it if it's on a Sunday. Sundays always have a better turn out anyway since less people work that day.

Example: Last years BC meet had about 8 WA peeps show up cuz it was on a Sunday. This year was Saturday and only 1 WA peep showed.

The West Coast Meets are an entire weekend... It isn't just a little 2 hour BBQ. You'll need the dough for a couple nights in a hotel, a bunch of fuel, and several meals (you think Cori is still around??). Show up on Sunday if you'd like but most people are starting to head home by then.

 

Hmmm, I would have thought you'd back down from a challenge J/K. My 1/4 mile times have been less than expected so far. Really hard to launch. I'm gonna go try again tonight if it doesn't rain.

 

There will be no HBP kit for me before the meet... so maybe we'll see just how much your car has improved.

 

From a stop I pretty sure you still have me. From a roll I think I have a better chance. I ran 12.85@116mph the other day. You NSX should run 12.8 easily but I'm not sure of your trap speed being as high.

 

Ah ha! I see! Saturday is my busiest day of the week since most get paid on Friday. If I don't hit'em by Saturday, they don't have enough money left over to tint their windows by Monday

Reason I ask is age (I'm not quite 17 and all of you state your 20+) and I'm driving an '02 V6 Accord.

 

^-yup. i dont think there is a min. age. its a weekend thing so some hotels might give you a hard time for being under 18

 

I'll definitely go if it's in Portland then.
