I don't get it because I've been driving around with no front plate for a long time. I've noticed that they really don't bother military members that much at, including with front plate issues. Even when I go on base, the cops there don't say anything. These cops are just turds. I've been doing a lot of cruising lately too, so I don't get it.

I took my front plate off well over a year ago and am just now getting hassled for it. I think they have been drooling over it since it sits out front reversed in to the parking spot and you can see it has no plate. He was behind me within a block from my shop so I almost think he was sitting and waiting for me to leave. It's just one of the downfalls of having the Fife Police Department 2 blocks away. Now I gotta figure out a way to make thatugly bastage look good on my car.

286hp. Not much of an upgrade. And they're using the 3.5 thats in the RL and still won't be over 300hp. Kinda sucks if you ask me.

The type-S is going for the euro look. AMG cars have QUAD exhaust. The wheels look super ricey. Got ?

Clay-

Acura is too afraid of breaking the 300 barrier!

The current model TL has 258 hp. So the 286 hp of the Type-S is quite the upgrade. Also.... how many dollars does it take to unleash the potential of our engines? About $300 bucks... $600 bucks..... $1500 bucks....
I'm down to spend a couple of bucks on a few Comptech parts to let the new Type-S breathe properly. Then lets see the haters stack up!

Who's first?

The 04's are at 270hp. 286hp is not enough to make me want the type-s.

The 270hp was an exaggerated output that Acura used as the estimated power when it was released. This last year the government has put stricy regulations on how auto manufacturers are allowed the "estimate" power. Because of these standards all of Honda's HP ratings have dropped considerably. The power didn't go anywhere. It is just now rated correctly.

The quote below I copied from Acura's website. I pulled up the 2006 TL specs....

* For 2006, Acura is complying with the new SAE standard for measuring horsepower and torque. This new method slightly reduces a vehicle's horsepower rating and torque due to more stringent testing procedures.

So there is actually about a 30hp gap. And about 30ft/lbs of torque diff. That's alot!

^^^I read that a while ago Car manufactuers should have complied to this a long time ago instead of guessing hp/tq numbers!

For the TSX the number actually went up which is They claim the TSX has 205hp. Wut ever dude! My baseline dyno came in at a whopping 154whp. That's 25% less than advertised. Someone should be shot for false advertisement
