Thank you to everyone who attended this weekend!!! You made this event what it was!

Special thank you goes to Trance for planning this event WAY BACK in October with the first thread that started in November. Between Trance and myself we have spent countless hours preparing and sweating the details. Also throw in making a decision back in January to postpone due to weather. We took a lot of heat doing that but I think based on this past weekend it was worth it.

We will have a folder setup on www.acuraclubtexas.com Gallery. As soon as I have had a chance to collect the pictures from everyone I will post back.

I took several stills myself but also did the video from the car. Got some great footage to share. My goal is to post the raw footage within the week and I will work with o2cls (Jordon) to develop a video montage.

Philip - man I was really impressed with your DVD-NAV setup. If I ending up going for it I'm blaming you!!

 

OH!!! My bad...Pimin-TL also helped with the event. How could I overlook that. Russ was a great help in keeping the group together. Russ did a lot of the proactive thinking to get our reservations setup at the Iron Cactus and keeping Trance and I focused. WOW!!! a BIG THANK YOU goes to Russ!!!!

 

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!! (Silver Bullet's co-pilot here)

First and foremost I want to thank my hubby (Silver Bullet) for a WONDERFUL weekend!!! Even though your 'gayness factor' multiplied (location joke) and the drive wasn't exactly what I signed up for, I love you more than words can say and I had a BLAST!!!

Ethan, you rock!!! Your endless energy makes me smile. I am in awe of Karen and completely humbled by having been apart of her amazing run. She inspired me this weekend to set goals and become a better person! And, to your precious daughter, Kayla, I miss her already!

Jordan - Sorry about your tire man! I am glad that you got home okay and am looking forward to the pictures. Love, 'mom'.

Kirk - While I don't miss your graphic descriptions of all of the disgusting bathrooms we patronized in Austin, I do miss your contagious laugh!!! Thanks for keeping me company and WARM Sunday morning!

Andy - I LOVE your hair man! DON'T cut it!!!

Leo - (my Addison eye candy friend (ur words ) I am still cracking up over our cigarette mishap followed up by your timely advice "Oh shit - RUN!!!"

Blake - you are a WAY cool kid and I am so glad that you are apart of this group. You keep us young! You're dad is awesome and thank him from us for letting you come.

Peter - Sorry you couldn't stay in Austin for the night and join the massive amount of partying that went on! I am dying to know one thing - did the freezer trick work???

Grayson/Annie - thank you for all of your time this weekend! It was great to finally meet you both and I so look forward to getting to know you both.

Kurt - Thank you again for the Patron shots!! Although, I have now officially sworn off of tequila for at least a month or so now

It was a pleasure meeting you Janet! You and Mark were definitely great people to talk to. Everyone really was! I think everyone had fun without any complications! I know a few were definitely sore after the Sunday event, but we all were together and still having fun! And that is what counts!

Sunday was AMAZING!!!! Karen ran the marathon in 5 hours and 40 or so minutes and I personally was honored to watch her cross the finish line. She is amazing, BEAUTIFUL and a VERY strong woman!!!

Saturday night??? Well, Mark and I are a little vague as to what happened after we left the Iron Cactus (and several shots later) but we do know that we awoke in the comfort of our Embassy Suites hotel and after we fought off the fog of a MAJOR tequila hangover, we went and watched Karen run her 1st marathon. We didn't follow the rest of the group around Saturday night but I did catch tid-bits Sunday morning from a couple of the guys.....I believe the words that they used were 'lots of t*ts and a$$" but I will let them share their own stories. Kirk?? Leo?? Care to chime in???

 

Being drunk in public and going to bed at 4 then waking up a 8 to see KAREN aka Trancemission wife run in a awesome marathon. O yea TONY also I had a total of 8 hour sleep that whole weekend, but would do it again in a heartbeat!!! COCK BALLS

Acura makes other cars than CL's?...I think they want all the 07 models..BUT you should still come up. We can find you somewhere to stay and take you to a great bar!

 

Its actually this Saturday. Its for all of us. They just want to shoot all kinds of footage. They're talking about having all 07 models for us to drive as well. Its not 3G TLs only. The impression I got is they want us because we are an AcuraClub so that means to me that any Acura is welcome. They can take all the damn footage they want. To me it doesnt matter what they use in a commericial. The fact that its going to be in HD is why Im going. They said that they will give us all the raw footage.. So bring your ass up here. I have plenty of room...

and Sat night all sorts of things just happened, thnx to certain people knowing certain bartenders and 27 thousand shots later, as Janet mentioned lots and lots of T&A, ah how I love Austin, then followed by food served by tree hugging hippies, followed by 4hrs later being downtown at the marathon. Ah good times, would do it all over again as Snappy said.

Hey guys,

I don't mean to thread-jack but I'm in need of some serious help. I need to find a reputable shop that won't charge me an arm and leg to change out my drive pulley. I tried like hell today but had to concede defeat - I just can't get that damn bolt off; even bent a 36in breaker bar in the process. I live in the Killeen/Belton/Temple area and figured that I'd end up trying to find some where in Austin to get this done. I'm willing to go anywhere from Dallas to Houston; so if anyone has a shop they'd like to suggest I'm all ears.
