MILWAUKEE, WI: Meet on Sat. Aug 19!!
Hi all! Official announcement:
Milwaukee Meet
Saturday, August 19th, 2006
Alan Kulwicki Park
10777 W Coldspring Rd, Greenfield, WI
(Corner of Coldspring Rd and Hwy 100)
Time?? (No time set yet--I'm thinking noon?)
Party to follow @ my house to celebrate the new TSX!
There are several hotels nearby or PM me for more info if you plan to stay the night. There are a variety of price ranges, so let me know if you need something specific...
There will be food-burgers and dogs, I think, but it would be great if everyone could bring a little something else like chips, etc. Maybe we could start a sign up list below...
Also--there is an ALMS race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI on Sunday and several members will be going to see that, as well. Anyone intersted should check out the website Road America
There was a "pre-thread" started on this and the repsonse was very promising-- hope we have a great turnout!!

haha im not so much worried about being killed or what not, more so much as me being shy meeting people and comming off as reserved and uptight err I dunno, everybody that gets to know me always says, dude, you always looked so serious I was afraid to talk to you. Once they get to know me howerever I never get that kind of "this guy is serious, dont fuck with him" respect again lol

Hehe..I know--I was just giving you a hard time. 
I showed up at one of the very first meets in Schaumberg by myself and the only female. It was pretty daunting, but now I'm glad I did it because I met some pretty cool people and we had a good time!

Meet people, look at the cars, eat food, shoot the shit...
Planning a party at my house for afterwards, as well. Music, snacks, drinks, etc. I have a patio in back and if we're still going til dark, we have a metal fire pit thing and we can do a small bonfire.

As for alcohol, we are not allowed to drink at the park for the meet, but there will definitly be drinking at the party after. I have a variety of beverages, but if you have specific tastes, please bring what you like.

Wow. I'd love to make this gig--never been to a meet before and it's so nice and close. Alas, I'm getting hitched on the 19th and will not be able to attend. I'll keep a look out for any other meets and hopefully I'll get to chat with all you fine people.
