What do you guys think? Would there be any interest if we picked a central location (like Fresno) that would be a combined TL/CL meet for any interested Northern and Southern CA people. We could do it sometime in April or early May before it got too hot at a park and even have time to run up into the hills for some twisties.

 

I'm surprised the Northern CA people aren't interested in hooking up with the Southern CA people.

Edub suggested San Luis Obispo which is a good place also.

Suggestions welcomed.

Good/Bad/Dumb idea?

 

I'm from AZ but go to California (LA area) somewhat frequently. It would be cool to hook up with other CL owners.

How about the weekend of Mar. 15? I know it's soon, but I will be in LA on the 14th and will probably be cruising up to the San Fran/San Jose area on the 15th. It would be pretty cool to hook up as I drive up there. Wanted to cruise along the PCH and catch some cool scenes there.

Just a thought, maybe I'll make a post to see if anyone wanted to cruise up to San Jose from LA for that day along that road.

 

you should have the meet in Pismo Beach

we have had 2 ClubSI North vs. South meets there the past two years and have had almost 100cars at each event.

Pismo Beach area is a very nice location and is inbetween the bay area~ and so.cal

no, that is way too soon. this time of things takes at least a good month or so to plan because people need to request time off work and what-not

this kinda event should be a one-two day event

for example, our CSI NvsS meets:
we all met early morning at a location easy for everybody to get to. then we all caravaned with 40+ cars down to Pismo Beach, while on the other end..the South people did the same thing and we all arrived at our huge parking lot in Pismo at the exact same time!

some people will only stay for that one day and drive back home late that night , but ALOT of people will want to stay over night so we can party that night or do whatever, then the next day do some more fun activities before heading home. not everybody has to stay but those who want to CAN and it would still be tons of fun

and when somebody does start planning it, we need to give it at least a month and a half time to announce everything before the meet
