I've got 2 that I'll bring. Last time we had them it was helpful but we got so spaced out that we didn't have good reception between the people in the front and the back of the pack. This should work out a little better though.

Actually, you'd be surprised how many people don't have nav. It's pretty uncommon to see guys that have stock nav at the meets. I couldn't take it anymore so I installed the Acura Nav myself. Definitely glad I did.

yea i've been looking at displays to get that i can later input the navi into it...I've found many but now worried about the install...i dont want a flip out dvd i would like just a nice touchscreen 6.5" that sits there....but there pretty expensive...but in due time...mapquest will have to do for now..

anyone leaving from fairfax know how long it takes to get to skyline drive...

Please, no one add yourself to the attendee list. Leave it to one of the 4 people that are planning the meet .. this way we can 1) Save reading time on the thread 2)Keep the colors and headings the same and 3) Most importantly, make sure everyone is on the list and doesn't accidently get dropped off everytime someone changes/edits/updates the list.

So far the plans that are being ironed out are finding a place to meet for us all to gather at before heading off to Skyline Drive for the cruise (probably will be a shopping center where people can run through fast food drive thru's before hitting the road) AND we need a place for us to park at Skyline for a resting spot, etc. We are thinking the rally point time to meet up before cruising into Skyline will probably be around noon and then we will chill there for 1 hour and then head off towards Skyline. After the cruise, which will probably be around 35 miles inside Skyline at the posted speed limit of 35 mph (at most parts of it), we will try and find some place to park and chat, then we'll head out together (for some last photo op's) and then everyone will be on their own to go home or do whatever.

So we should be wrapping things up around 4 or 5 pm? Just curious because I know some people will have to head back home Sunday after the meet. I know it's about 3 and a half hours for me but I think there was a member coming from NC, and that's a bit of a ride. Everything sounds good though. Looking forward to it!

I think that sounds good, because yeah, I have a 2 and 1/2 hour ride so I think most people will have probably a 2 hour ride if you live around the beltway. ACCURATEin is the guy coming from NC ... but I dont think he's driving back the day of the meet because he has family around this area that he'll visit as well.

That's a good idea... Tyson Corner seems to be a reasonable spot since it is located close to I-66.

I suggest avoiding Tyson's. The last time they attempted to stage a meet there, security kicked everyone out.

If you want to be near 66, I recommend the parking lot for the Marymount University campus in Ballston on the corner of Glebe and Fairfax. It's generally pretty empty on weekends and is right next to the entrance for 66.

i work on an office in tysons, right across from the mall basically right off gallows road. we could all meet there, big parking lot and we wont have any hassles.

And yes, we can all met up prior to the meet but we just need to decide where. Actually there is a larger parking lot in the office building across the street from Marshal. This lot is normally quite empty on the weekends
