San Marino Red? For some reason I though you had an Anthracite

I didnt curb them... I was on my way up to FedEx field to race in the RevItUp Chevy event and as soon as I hit 495, this dude in a Scion rolls up next to me and yells at me that my tire is flat... I look in the rearview and sure enough, theres the smoke coming off the tire.... So I pulled over.... (worst part is that it was some kid doing me a favor, and as soon as he sped off from beside me, he got tagged by a cop...)

When the wheel finally came off (guess who only had the stock tire iron... guess what, it doesn't fit in the Inspyres in case you were wondering....) The inside sidewall was shredded.... No damage to the rim though.... Blessing in disguise....

So I had to throw the stockers back on while I wait for my new tires to come in... (went with the Kumho Ecstas)

I was tempted just to wait and put the Inspyres back on in the spring, but I think I will go ahead and run them until Nov....

Dude, I wish you had run that by us first before inviting them. The idea was to make this really an AcuraZine event. Plus, some of the RSX folks that attended the mid-Atlantic meet last year were the ones doing burn-outs and stuff, which we absolutely cannot have during the cruise because a large group like ours will be under a lot of scrutiny.

I can promise you that the people that I know in Capital aren't doing burnouts and other immature stuff. But I can delete the thread inviting them on ClubRSX if you guys are offended by hanging out with them.

BTW- I should add that there were people being invited to the last D&B meet you guys had on ClubRSX as well (I-MOD namely one of the people who's a mod and a community organizer for Capital).

I'm just speaking from experience because the people from last year's Mid-Atlantic meet at Arundel Mills that attracted the attention of mall security by doing a couple of peel outs in the parking lot were from Capitol. And since I have been warned by several people that a large group of cars like ours will attract a lot of police attention inside the park, we have to be very careful about doing anything that may result in the whole group getting ejected from the park, especially since the police are already going to be on high alert that weekend because of the Corvette group that will be up there that same weekend.

You may not care, but those of us planning the event have an obligation to look out for the interest of the whole group and for AcuraZine. This is an AcuraZine event and if we have enough vehicles to require us to shell out the money to get a permit and become legally responsible for the actions of those that join us for the cruise, then the last thing we want is for someone from an outside group ruining things for us by acting irresponsibly. If the Capitol folks can keep their own people under control, they're welcome to attend.

Seriously... relax.

I participate in both AcuraZine and Capital meets every year. Capital has their own Skyline meet each year with 20 cars or more and at least 30 people. There is never any problem with the park police complaining or any other guest complaining.

There is no reason why AcuraZine or anyone else would need to acquire a permit to enter the park.

You only need a permit if you are getting married there, protesting, selling something, memorials, etc. Or if you are a commercial photographer or conducting business of any sort in the park. I also think you need a permit for hang gliding but I don't think anyone will be doing that in our group.
