I'm looking forward to this Sunday as well...and I'll be showing up with some blemishes on my car but it's not stopping me and it shouldn't stop anyone else. One of the meets earlier in the summer I showed up with a damaged hood and grill and JPTL-S and a few other members helped replace the grill...AT THE MEET.

Yeah, I just got 3 dents fixed that some guys PUNCHED or KICKED in my rear quarter panel. It happens like 1 month ago at Tysons in the valet parking lot. So annoying. Haters.com I filed a police report, etc. ... but nothing came back of course. But if I had those dents ... I would still have come to this meet.

All,

Given the size of the crowd that will be gathering in a private shopping mall, lets keep things as organized as possible.

The previous pic I sent out had two possible meeting places. I propose we use the spot marked "meet here" in the pic below. There should be ample parking and the lot is further away from the shops, avoiding any unnecessary complaints.

There may be a couple of "employees" parked in the lot, but thats about it. It would also keep us away from the "Real shoppers".

P.S. I test drove a 2007 type-s 6MT Oh the joy.

I was talking to Dennis from i-modify tonight as he finished up my baby. He said that if you didn't make plans in advanced it's going to be very HARD to get something to eat while on Skyline Drive, there's only 2 restaurants in the park.

It would be best that you eat before you go or pack a lunch for the drive. Once out of Skyline Drive there's going to plenty of places to eat in Front Royal. He also said that this is going to be ONE busy weekend up there. It's like the last week of the color change for the leaves.

I'm coming from southern virginia and I think I may just show up for the drive in skyline. what time are you guys meeting right before you go into skyline? and which location is the absolute last stop before going in?

where in Southern VA? I would suggest trying to make it to at least part of the meet. I don't know everyone but I've met most of them at least once and can recognize the car better than the person that drives it. Regardless, it's a great group of people and the meet is a great time to BS and get to know everyone a little better than just their screen name. I've made the drive from Va Beach to several meets over the summer and yes the drive sucks but it's fun once you get there. And I'm usually able to convince my girl to come with me so I have some company for the ride. Whatever you decide, it will still be fun and we hope to see you at the meet, but if you just show for the cruise...that's cool too. The absolute last stop before going in is the one in Front Royal at the Kmart but it will be a little difficult to say what time we will get there. We are leaving the meeting spot at 1:30 headed towards that Kmart and if I remember correctly it takes about 45 minutes to get there. So I would say between 2 and 2:30.

coming from lexington which is supposed to be about 2.5 hours. guess it's not really southern but. I'm going to bring a few friends with me and I'm not sure how much they will want to get up at 7am on a sunday (we go to W&L so saturdays are big nights) to make the main meet. Does anyone else live down this way and want to drive back more of the drive on the blue ridge parkway?

I just removed people that had to cancel on the meet. It would be way to time consuming to re-number the whole list everytime someone cancel's. I'll update again probably before Saturday. 35 of my 52 reminders that were sent out to people have been read ... so hopefully the remaining 17 that haven't seen the reminder are 1- not canceling and 2- remember the largest meet around here is in just 4 days!!!

Then we'll have the drive to the K-mart (which is right outside of Skyline Drive) to gather everyone up one last time before we enter Skyline.

So, I was getting my rsb and ss installed from Dennis in Springfield and he told me the drive is gonna be bad because for one we didn't set up any accomodations when we go up there for food, if people are eating before then no prob. But he also told me this time of year is the peak season so it's gonna be really packed. He also told me if you take a certain entrance into the park there's a really steep hill that's gonna suck for all us MT owners if there is a bit of traffic going into skyline before 12pm, that's usually the time that everyone gets out of church and heads up to the drive.


I'm definitely gonna be at the caravan and meet, just a heads up

So that means everyone needs to have eaten OR have food with them before meeting with everyone... that's all. So allow yourselves enough time to do so.

Other than that, I don't know what else to say. It's too late to make any major changes because majority of the people won't read the changes in time. It's just 4 days away.

Everyone must remember to change their clocks BACK 1 hour before the day of the meet. Daylight savings time ends starting Sunday.
