Thanks to rev for getting this started! Thanks to Shalooby for getting us a place & offering to organize details! Thanks to all of us (self most definitely included :P) for not whoring this baby up & getting it locked!

The wife and I are coming in on Thursday night & spending Thursday, Friday, & Saturday night in a hotel somewhere near the meet and the Smithsonian museum(s). If many others are going to be hotelling, we can see about a group discount.

I can be reached via PM for details regarding the address and/or any other details needed. Or just post your questions up here. I'll keep on eye on this thread daily.

Whats up fellas!!! About hotelling, My aunt is a big time executive of Marriott Hotels! If yall want I can get yall some type of Group discounts! Need to know how many are coming to the area and how many need a hotel and also some dates(how long are yall staying for???) The faster everybody lets me know, the faster I can tell my aunt and she can book it right away! Just let me know whats up!!!

May I suggest the Key Bridge Marriott? It's close to the meet, close to the city and Georgetown is just a walk across the bridge, plus it has great views of the city. (If you get a room facing east) The Rosslyn Metro is only 1.5 blocks away as well.

Honestly, i don't know.

If this interview on Wednesday works out, i'll be having my own place But that's a stretch right now since everything is up in the air - so for now, yes I would be getting a hotel.

Is everyone doing that on their own?

we're going to see, I would imagine, during the next 2-4 weeks how many people are going to need a hotel, then try to get a group discount at a voted-upon hotel if there are enough people.

How long after your interview will you find out about everything? Couple weeks?

Umm, depends on a lotta factors but either way (whether theyre right for me/vice versa) it would be about 2-3 weeks I think. We'll see though.

Rev - it went really well i think. Def a good vibe from them and same with me for them - will find out no later than end of next week though since they're interviewing a few more ppl.
