quick question, has any of you researched into changing the day time running light. I don't like the stock yellowish color. Is it possible to change it to a white beam like HID? My understanding is that it is sharing the same bulb with the high beam.

it is the same as the high beams just a lower wattage...so if you change your hugh beam bulbs it should go away...

Astro:

Have you changed it yet? Is it a complicated task and what bulb would you recommend for that?

I want my Day-time Running Light to be white. Man, it is really ugly with that yellowish color. It spoils the look of my car during the day. It is so tempting everyday for me to switch on my HID even under bright sunshine to have a white beam.

I haven't done it, but I know Crippen has...I've asked hom to come and answer your question

I do turn my low beams on during the day just to show off my white lights

Uhm, hi

I have indeed replaced my stock bulb with a "Whiter bulb" - It was a PIAA model, but the exact # escapes me at the moment -- I'll check it out tonite and let you know

Thanks, Astro.

Btw, I sometimes show off my white lights during day time too. I find a lot of TLs doing the same on the streets.

I actually prefer driving at night, as my white lights stand out so much more in the dark.

astro, by the way, where did you see the TL-S??? I have only seen 1 regular TL. Personally, I prefer the CL-S look. I don't like the "refined" TL grille. I think ours are much cooler.

i am gonna have to check out your lights at the meet..which by the way maybe we could start planning in the near future..

i have only seen the TL-S in real life twice. Once at the autoshow, and once last week at Acura of North Toronto, not on the street though.

The rims looked, different, i dont know why.

I've been debating whether or not to replace the high beam bulbs too for the past two weeks. Maybe I'll just do what astro and others are doing and turn on the lowbeams during the day

Hey whats up everyone? Seems like there are only a few die hard CL-S owners in Toronto. Which is good to know!
I haven't purchased a CL Type-S just yet. I'm pretty close though. Maybe in the next month or so.

Anyone get any good deals out there? How much should I expect the dealership to discount?

Has anyone lowered there CL-S yet? Would it affect anything like VSA or ABS or that type of 'feature'? Where is a good place to get that done?

Is it true there is a body kit available for the 2001 CL-S?

I'm also looking to add a muffler and a sub within the first 2 months of purchase. Anyone know of a good place for installs?

Thanks

snEak

sneak, I replied in your other thread...

BLK CLS: I am pretty sure if you wander around the Pacific Mall at Sheppard and Kennedy you'll find the polarg bulbs you're looking for...if not, JRP in Mississauga at Dixie and Derry will have them.

I got all my mods installed at my Acura Dealership-=Woodbine acura, my tech's name is Earl.

sneak, welcome to the club!

Try Acura Sherway or if you don't mind driving your new car back to Toronto, Acura on Main offers good price too.

I know a sales very well at Sherway. I have bought a number of cars from him already. If you want to try Sherway, email me. He may be able to get you a good deal.

Astro:

I went to Erin Mills Acura on the weekend and took a look at the TL-S. Yes, the wheels are very similar but different.

Our wheels have no trim on the perimeter. At the edge, the surface is pointing a little bit inwards.

For the TL-S, there is a small trim at the perimeter, which is coming out of the surface a bit.

In addition, at the place on the grille where the Acura logo is, it is hollow. Ours is not.

I like the CL-S way better.

sneak, welcome to the club!

Try Acura Sherway or if you don't mind driving your new car back to Toronto, Acura on Main offers good price too.

I know a sales very well at Sherway. I have bought a number of cars from him already. If you want to try Sherway, email me. He may be able to get you a good deal.

I have been dealing with another guy. I can give him a call if you are interested. I have bought a few cars from him and have refered to him a number of my friends. Since I am a long time patron and I buy a new car almost every year, he has every reason to keep me happy.

this is really weird, i think i should share this with you guys...it sounds to crazy to post in the "car Talk" section, cause it sounds like a lie...

Last thursday, i got a phone call from acura at around 6pm. It was a lady (that sounded HOT), she said she worked for Acura. She asked me if I had recieved a Survey in the mail for their service department, I said "no" and she told me if i checked my mail and it was there, she would come by herself and pick it up from my house!..i was wondering what the hell is going on, i asked her why it was so important, and she said again that she would come by and pick it up herself again, then she also said with a teasing voice, that she would throw in a free oil-change or sometthing, a $55 dollar value..so i said okay, and i got her name and told her i would call her back. She gave me her name and her CELL phone number..i checked my mail, and nothing was there..so i came back to the house and instead of calling her cell i called acura and asked for her, just to make sure that she was being for real, and she was. she told me to call her cell phone the HOUR i got the survey and fill it out, and she would personally pick it up...

can anybody explain this to me?

since when do car dealerships send out people to pick up surveys?

obviuosly there is a side of me that thinnks she wants me (hehe), but for some reason, i doubt thats the case, cause it just sounds so messed up..

does anybody know why this is happeneing, and anybody have the same experience?

ok i am editing this message to add that it was from acura of north toronto

I am switching my service visits from Sherway to Toronto North now!!!

Just Kidding.

Well, this is wierd. Is she trying to pursuade you into giving good feebacks on the surveys. You know, Acura Canada surveys their customers and use those to rate dealers.
