Sup guys. Just wanted to let you know that I'm another TO CL-S guy. Thanks deadlyCL-S for letting me know of this thread. I work in Mississauga and see a black CL-S parked in the parking lot all the time. Any chance it's anyone on this board? Apparently one of my co-workers dinged your bumper (ouch!). 55 City Centre Drive, across from Square One? I'll come to the meet whenever you guys decide to hook up.

Hey Guys

good to know there ae more of us...I've been seeing a lot more CL-S's on the road in and around TO...even have seen 3 or 4 here in Barrie where I live...although it's a year after I got mine...

It'll be pretty neat when we all get together, we should go to the Docks parking lot and take pics of all our CL's lined up in a row

sturm,

are you the guy parking at the CIBC building in Mississauga, with the silver CL-S? Is 55 City Ctr CIBC building? My fiance park there all the time, but she usually doesn't drive my CL-S to work. So, your coworkers probably didn't dink mine.

I found one silver one in the Market Village Shopping mall in Markham one the weekend. Could it be any one of us here?

I just waxed my car on sunday, it is really shiny now and I attracted a lot of looks this morning why driving downtown to work.

looks like we are getting there. It would be cool to have more than 10 CL-S together in a lot!

I also just claybarred and waxed my CL-S with Finish First polish, DAMN it looks GREAT again

I'm from Vancouer and I have a silver CL-S, bone-stock. Looks like everyone's out East. Waiting for the weather to warm up to see if all the annoying squeaks, creaks and rattles would subside.

Victoria, BC here.

I've had mine since January, but have been into them since the 1st ones arrived at Acura of Victoria last March/April. I don't remember seeing *1* other one on the road here (gold or otherwise). The dealer claims he's sold a few, maybe they just don't drive them much, or live up-island or somethin'. And no, Victoria's not *that* small; around 300,000 people & it's the capital of BC.

I must admit it does feel kinda cool to drive around in a "one of a kind" car!

hey, no problem.

It is really great to see more and more Canadian CL owners here.

I have just seen another silver one while I was driving along Gardiner Expressway to work this morning. The driver is a gentleman around the age of 50. I don't think he saw me. He was too much focusing on the road.

I think we should start compiling a list of us.

folks, btw, i have changed the bulbs my road lamps again. Now it is prolargM4. So, next time when you see a black CL-S with spoiler and white/slightly blue road lamps in GTA, it is likely my car.

CL, how do you like the polarg lights? are they more close to our headlights than the PIAA's?

i think so, though nothing can really match the HID perfectly. The Prolarg definitely is closer in color to the HID, than the PIAA. I have had PIAA on my car for two weeks. I didn't like the look and replaced with Prolarg

Hi folks:

I spotted a San Marino Red CL-S in the Alcatel parking lot at Explorer Drive in Mississauga today.

I left a little note on the windshield asking the person to join us. Hope we will see him/her soon.

deadly, I enjoy washing my car myself, even though it takes me 3 hours+ to do it!

CL, where in TO did you find the Polarg lights? I think you've sold me on them

clint,

I have a silver CL-S and the building I'm in isn't the CIBC building, but it's just down the street from it. The black CL-S I keep seeing in the parking lot doesn't have a spoiler.

Didn't finish my thought. Hey I was at Market village on the weekend. That could have been my CL-S you saw in the parking lot!

Did you see a black CL-S on that day. It was Sunday and it was around 2:30-3:30pm. I was parked next to a Silver IS300, my friend's car.

If that is your car, you need a car wash :>

Try the several stores at the Pacific Mall at Steeles and Kennedy. It is in the Chinese community, but don't worry, the store owners all speak English. My friend bought it for me in our of those stores. It should be around $10.

Deadly,

I hand wash my car too. I spend around 1-1.5 hours washing it each time. With waxing it could be like 6 hours each time. I don't enjoy the process, but the result of my own hand wash is so much better. Plus, I don't need to worry about people mishandling my car.

you can really find some awsome stuff at that mall!!

i go there like once every 4 months just to see if they have any new cool stuff.

one store had Type S badges in silver, but not the design of our badges..it just ssaid TYPE S in silver, it was for preludes though.

Still a great mall to find cool stuff, and probably every kind of air freshner you could ever dream of.

clint,

Yep, I was there on Sunday afternoon. I didn't see a black CL-S, but haha that was me for sure with my dirty CL-S. My car is filthy! I'm doing a thorough interior and exterior cleanup this weekend. Last few times I've washed my car, it would rain/snow the very next day.

I went to Pacific Mall today to try to get some PIAA 9005 superwhites and the store I went to wanted $170! I said no way. I went to JRP and they wanted $119 but didn't have them in stock. Has anyone seen them for any less anywhere else?

Hmm.. there is an online retailer of PIAA bulbs. Forgot about the name of the site though.

Anyone remembers the site?

My car has stayed cleaned and shiny since Sunday. It actually attracted a lot of looks these few days. There was a little bit of bird droppings on it and I sprayed it away with some water. I just don't want to see any rain now.

Acura Canada has created a Type-S interactive webpage. You guys may want to take a look at it. It is www.acura.ca.

I was looking at the stat there and was kind of stunned. It is posting 0-100 for TL-S is 7.3s and 0-100 for CL-S is 7.1s. Is that right? I always thought that the car is in 6s range.

Any idea?

You have to lose the dot after the ca for the link to work

Of course 100 KMH is aprox 63 MPH & the 6.5 (or thereabouts) times that I've seen are for 0-60, but still, it shouldn't take that much longer to get to 63 MPH. Or maybe it does...

After I've confirmed the accuracy of my speedo I'm going to try a few 0-100 KMH runs (with & without VSA, SS vs full auto) & I'll post the results, just for interest's sake.

It doesn't sound to right, from 60MPH to 63MPH, it takes 0.6s (7.1-6.55s)????

Astro:

I have heard people using the Prolarg M6 (12W) instead of M4 (5W). They say it is brighter and whiter. The only problem is that the life of the bulb may be much shorter. The factory standard has been 5W. If you decide to put M6 on, post a picture. I would want to see how much difference it makes.

CL, I'll prolly stick with the 5W bulbs, as I don't want to take any chances of melting the housings by using a bulb that is stronger...
I'm out of town for the weekend, so I'll be doing this next week...

Yo guys I need your help.

Last night I got a ticket far up north on Bathurst.. It's a ticket for 95 in an 80. It's 52.00, and the cop said it was no points. Will this affect my insurance if there is no points? Thanks for your help guys, but I am trying to figure out whether to fight it or not, because the ticket is only 50.00.

it WILL affect insurance, i have learned this OVER and OVER that cops LIE.

Ontario insurance does not go by points, it goes by CONVICTIONS, so FIGHT IT!!
