I may be heading up on that saturday and possibly staying the night for sunday. My friend may be bringing his wrx too or riding with me. Is the dragon hard for someone like me who has never done it before??

^alot of us havent been on the dragon before. just take it at your own pace. definitely not a race, more like a cruise. you will know your limit after the first 3 turns. there will be all types of paces and you can choose your own way man, no worries. ill be taking it easy as well.

Before we get out there, let me be an asshole for a minute. (It comes natural.)
I will have both Tennessee Highway Patrol and North Carolina Highway Patrol numbers handy. If anybody is driving like an idiot, I will report their sorry asses so quickly, they won't even have time to cross the state borders. The corresponding jurisdiction's officers will be waiting on the other side, anyway.
There are lots of motorcyclists, car enthusiasts and your Average Joes in minivans who will be out there, along with the occasional semi-trailers. Use extreme caution, because the last thing you want to do is try to be Michael Schumacher, cross the double yellows and kill a biker... or worse yet, hit a truck head-on.
At the least, if you wreck out there, you will be riding in somebody else's car or in a tow truck because it is brutal out there. No shoulders, no run-off room, nothing. If you crash, then you're crashing into a hill or going down a ravine.
That is all. Let's keep it safe and have fun.

Let me guess... your a cop? Listen I think your going to have a hard time reporting us, because I'm sure everyone will be driving a little silly... Not that we are all going to get sideways around every turn and get going as fast as we possibly can on every straight away, but that's what we are going for... to have a good drive... speed limits/laws/rules or not...
I just have been enough group drives to know that one bad apple can truly ruin it for everyone. The last thing I want is all of us getting questioned by the police and getting in trouble because one bad apple decided he has something to prove to everyone and cause trouble for the rest of us.
I'm all about having a good drive. In order to do that safely and enjoyably, we just need to make sure that nobody gets out of line. That's all it is.
Trust me, I'm not pretending to be the enforcer or anything. I'm just speaking from experience.

* just ordered new bbk and co today. IF i get them installed soon and IF my alignment/tweaks/adjustments have been made and IF i can leave friday after work and be there by saturday, THEN i'm down.
