Anyone interested in a South Florida CL Meet? r0dxx and I (athlonxp) are trying to get it together and see if anyone else would be interested in coming. We were planning to meet by Dolphin Mall to take pictures and you know, hang out. Get to see everyone's prized possessions. And then afterwards ride out somewhere to get some munchies or something. What do you guys say?

The meet is just in the making and we are trying to find a particular date that would be good for all who would like to come.

Post some replies so that we can see who would be interested and basically get a tally.

This will be for both of us our first CL meet and hoping (fingers crossed) that there will be a good turnout.

We have first gens but would like to make the meet open to all CLers.

It should be fun right? And besides when was the last South Florida Meet?

*edit* Just saw the post left by liquid-x about a meet at tropical park. However, I believe he backed out on it. Brad (r0dxx) and I (athlonxp) will do our best at organizing the meet if we can get a count. Anyone??

I'll go for sure. I would suggest a Sat. or Sun. afternoon. Dolphin mall is right around the corner for me so its perfect. Also since theres an exit off the turnpike that goes pratically into the mall it should make things pretty easy for any Broward CL's that might to go as well.
Would you guys want to do this in November or December?

We were thinking a time that would be good for all who's coming. The actual time would be in the afternoon before it gets dark so we can actually check each other's cars out and take pics. Let's wait till there's another Cold Front down so that it would be like 64 degrees outside and we won't have to fret about hot weather!

Sounds good to me. I'd most likely go if it's on a weekend by the Dolphin Mall. South Florida meets never really seem to happen though, but maybe this time more people will go since I don't ever remember first generation CLs wanting one. If this begins to develop the meet info should also be posted on A-TL.com.

yah im down... ive been waiting to show off my CL jus got my 18's and its looking pretty good... ask r0d, i dont even know where dolphin mall is but im sure its not too far from springs.. someone will have to give me the exit # anyways, this meet could happen on a sat or sun afternoon any weekend thats good for others..im flexible.. lets make it a TL meet 2 ive seen some phat TL's around, lemme kno. peace

Hey it sounds as though we all want a meet!!!! That's good to hear. How does Sunday the 17th of November Sound to everyone? Or is that too soon? You guys help me out with a date. It sounds that a Sunday would be good for all of us. How does from 2pm-whatever sound? That way we will have light.

Try an rally up more people if you can. Can someone post one at the TL site. We sure can turn it into a CL and TL meet. As long as TLs aren't more than CLs!!!! J/K!

If you guys could PM or email me some info from each one of you so that I can get a tally and keep each and everyone updated on what will be going on. That would be real helpful.

Also, this will be my first meet so if anyone else could me a hand in Organizing this It'd be appreciated. BTW, can cops intervene in any way?

Personally, I've have never been to the mall. I only know where it is and how to get there. But since you sound as though you do, how picking your favorite spot? That would be helpful. I'll then go check it out and get some maps and stuff drawn up so whoever hasn't been there will know. BTW, I'm starting to put up flyers around UM and I've seen a few there about 12 in all. Mostly First Gens. About 6 of them really hooked up. So hopefully we can get some new people that aren't on this board yet and give them an open invitation.

So, if possible, give us a spot to "Show Off" our stuff!

count me in... the 24th is str8 i live bout two minutes from the mall.. we should prob meet where Burlington Coat Factory is at there is hardly ever anyone parked there... the parking by the theatres is way too crowded..

Hope your car is done that would be cool. Did you buy the ecu through eba or did you get it somewhere else? My friggin type s pistons are finally getting here on Monday so I'll be sending the block to the machine shop again. Hopefully my swap will be done sometime this year.
By the way did you hear what happened to eba, someone stole his car. He's really upset about it. Hopefully he'll get a type r now.

I have had my car @ eba's for almost 2 months and it seems that tomorow he will be busy working on other cars for some reason. Whatever system he works out, what can i say. He is a good guy and I beleive he will amaze me when he is finished.

Hopefully if this meet works out we can setup another one shortly. I might just drive my girls jetta down there. WHo knows.

The map link was kinda not too good, however, looks like there is an exit off the T-pke says Dolphin Mall. I'm coming from Oakland Park and I always miss the 836 so I,m taking the pike south from Commercial. See ya
