I am fairly close and I have never been to Minnesota. But my car has enough miles on it already. I have been told that "the cities" are about 6 hours from Omaha.

Don't feel bad I think I am the only person in Nebraska on this forum.

Since there is such a high demand for this information, we will be meeting at 6:30pm in the back of the parking lot of the Target in Eden Prairie Center.

We will be having a supercharged S2000, turbocharged integra, nitrous NSX ... oh wait, i didn't ask those guys to come CL meet only! hehehe, we're picky.

Count me in for the next CL Midwest meet (in Minneapolis). I was in the Twin Cities a couple of weeks ago and I used to live in Hopkins (right around Shady Oak and Smetana off 169). I used to always go to the Mobil station next to that Target in Eden Prairie (Speedpass rocks!).

My drive from KC to Mpls was less than 6 hours. I'll come up after Spring since I know the snow can last thru most of April.

Is Eden Prairie Mall still open? That place was nearly dead when I left 2 years ago. Big parking lot for a meet....or the old Met Center lots across from MOA.

hey kensteeele,

you missed a bunch of fun, i'll get picks up tomorrow. it's a good story. i work off of 62 & 494 in EP, so does MNCLS. That mobile is now an amoco ... i bought gas & washed my car there right before the meet. snow is almost gone! EP Mall is getting a face lift ... again!!! MNCLS is new here, but I've been here my whole life. It is getting a Von Maur (none in MN) and supertarget. it should be nice, with a big ass AMC theatre.

Sad ... sniff ... good old met center ... the North Stars and Strikers ... ahh, yes that is a good spot. lots of police over that way.

lol - i was in KC this past weekend, I flew in on friday, drove across to St. Louis to watch the MLS preseason game (KC Wizards vs Chicago Fire) then drove back on sunday and flew out. what a dinky airport!!!

I used to work in EP too. Back then I was the only CL type S in that area I bought my car from White Bear Acura, which sucks!!, back in April 2000.
Finally can't stand the exciting life in Edina, MN and decided to drive back to MD in my baby That 1200 miles drive was great!

I thought you had mentioned something about Westport in St. Louis, but there is a Westport here in KC, it's our club district.

Yeah the KC airport is very small and almost an hour from where I live BUT compared to MSP:

1.The cops don't harass you when you park out front and leave your car.
2.First 30 minutes in regular parking is free.
3.Parking is cheap, satellite is $4/day.
4.I have never been delayed, it's never croweded.
5.Each gate has it's own separate metal detector and baggage claim, so it's fast and you never have to wait.
6.And most of all what I don't miss about MSP, for personal travel, Southwest Airlines rocks!

Sorry OT, yep, I can come up to a Midwest meet if we have one in Mpls this summer. Definitely if we are going to clear some headlights.

I'm all for a midwest meet! (hopefully I'll have sold my '01 CL-P and have a blue '01 CL/TL-S!) I'm wondering if MSP is the best / most central location, or do we wanna go with something like chicago (perhaps to be a little more appealing to the KY/MI/IN people)

Yeh, I'm sure Chicago would be great for you!

I'm fine with Chicago, too which would probably have a better turnout, MN is quite a ways away from most other Midwesterners.

How about July?

I think the guys in Chicago have meets all the time. It's like an 8 hour drive to chicago for us, and I know it is at least that far from KC. Maybe *gasp* Des Moines? or Omaha?

About our airport... here ya go KenSteele:

1. The cops dont harass you anymore, they'll write you a ticket while you're in your car, and if you are stupid enough to leave it, they'll tow it.

2. Parking ... well ... we haven't been able to bitch about cost ... we're still trying to find spots.

3. See #2

4. People will bud in line at the Starbucks and Caribou if they feel they are in a bigger hurry than you ...

5. We have many secured entrances ... they just choose to close them all during the busiest time of the day.

6. Northwest Airlines ... Fuck 'em ... 'nuff said
