we have alot of Acura owners in California on AZ.com. i know this has been discussed before, but the Whole-Cal meet just may turnout to be a hell of an event. i'm sure we'll end up with a great turnout, but i just wanted to hear from those that know where the majority of Acuraziners live. here in the meets section we have three well-sized threads of major Californian cities. but i wanted to hear out any ideas for this.

we're just starting fall, but spring would be a good time of the year to hold this event if it happens. i think there should be great weather by April. and somewhere with an extra large lot available for such events would be needed. sooo, your opinion please....

It would be great if we can pull this off. Some place around San Jose or little below San Jose would be ideal. Anyone know any place? One of the hard part is that we need to find a place that can hold large number of cars and possible near cheap motel for some of us stay overnight. How's about some camping site?

i know that some clubs hold their West Coast meet in Santa Barbara. i was kinda thinking that is far from the Bay area. Bakersfield or Fresno sounds like a good location.

What about San Simeon by Hearst Castle. San Simeon is halfway between LA and SF along the Coast. The last time I was there the Ferrari Club was holding their meet. Actually I think they were just meeting there and driving up to Monterey Bay for the big Ferrari meet. The drive between Morro Bay and Big Sur is one of the best in the WORLD, not just California. Lots of places to just stop for pictures and enjoy the view. Lots of Cheap places to stay since Hearst Castle is close by.

The wife and I go up there every couple of years.

Santa Barbara would be nice for the northern california guys because the drive down hwy 1 is so damn nice. problem is it takes a long ass time.

i am in for this! I think somewhere near santa barbara will be nice. There was a huge parking lot that the VW fourm did that i went to for Euro cars. It was nice and org. right off from the freeway too.

true. i thought that since we have guys from Sactown and the Bay area with meet threads they would be interested. i still need to hear from the NorCal peoples to know where they think is fair for both them and SoCal guys to drive for a meet. maybe some of you know of some spots i don't know. let me know fellas.

that definitely looks like an ideal location as far as driving distance. do you know of any spots that would be able to accomodate a large group of cars, Ravi? if anyone knows of a specific spot for something like this, please speak up and let us know.

I think Pismo beach is the ideal place. Just do a quick research and it's near Solvang, Winery, and Hearst Castle so cruising with beautiful scenery is no issue. There is one camp ground near by so we can all chip in and rent few sites which will be cheaper than renting motel individual.

i'm going to be doing some research for a spot in this area. one thing i want to find out is when the weather pretty much gets and stays clear in the spring that way we can pick out a date. i definitely want to get NSXPrime and other Acuras to make it out to this. but i'm thinking we'll have to have everyone from their own site to organize their own and then to collaborate with us.
