2nd Official Ramblings Meet Aug 17th
2nd Official Ramblings Meet!
Hey guys, thought I'd get this thread up and running, because for us
college students, there's only two months left of school and I for one
hand, need to know upcoming plans a few months in advance, just
so I can get things ready and stuff like that. We all know the last
ramblings meet went great up in Arlington (I think [bad memory])
and thanks to everyone that came, but this one's gonna be even
better, and much more relaxing, considering it's going to be
summer time baby! I expect everyone who came out to the last meet,
to show up to this meet, and for others to join in as well!
Let's gauge some interest in this next meet!
Location and date are not finalized as of yet!
OH AND... JUST A REMINDER... LET'S NOT GET THIS THREAD CLOSED...(whores...)

Here's what's NOT available. That is if we decide to do this at the Lake House.
Weekend after the 4th of July. ( July 4, 5, and 6 )
Week of July 12 - 19. I'll be on the Banks.
Anything else is open. I'm pretty easy.
The location details:

Bumpass, VA 23024-8880 (google map it)
From the DC metro area it's about an hour and a half to get there. The most direct route is 95 South to exit 118 which is just south of Fredericksburg. From there it's about 20 minutes away.
If you would be coming from points west of DC there are a number of options available and the travel time is about the same.
PM me or just post any questions regarding anything and I'll answer them. I'm sure a lot of the details will be discussed here as this thread gets whored, I mean, grows.
One answer I can give you now though is Yes, it is going to be a blast.

I understand that there are people who do not yet know what their entire summer itinerary is yet as well (you listening, horse lady?), but if you could narrow it down to a most likely date that you might be available then that would help as well.
In other words, go back a few posts and follow jupitersolo's lead. I'll combine all the dates everyone gives me into a spreadsheet of some sorts (yeah, I'm a geek) and see what presents itself.
I don't need much lead time on my end to let my gang know that we'll be invading. Hell, I could tell them that I'm coming tomorrow with thirty people and they would say, "Great!" You get the picture.

As far as the 16th goes, I've got a prior obligation. I'm not guaranteed to find ANY weekend that works for me, though, given how the summer is looking so far. Lots of travel on my few weekends off.
You guys pick the date that works for the most people, & if I can make it, I will.
