For SoCal Caravan:
Like last year, we will probably stop at Gaviota Northbound rest stop (only rest area on the way up) for restroom and stretching. Here is the location on the map:

It's about 101miles starting at the 818 Caravan location. So everyone keep this location in mind and stop there if you need to go to restroom and stuffs.

Since we are going to have name tags on ourselves, Do you guys think it's a good idea to put it on our cars as well?

Unless KnightRyderV wants to make those name plates with our SN, the size of license plate so we can put them on the license plates or on the dash/windshield? Vimal, you know what I'm talking about!

Another thing I wanted to note about license plates

SOME people whine about having their license plates seen in photo's. Like it really matters considering we aren't doing any illegal activities.. it's a BBQ.

so a suggestion to those people, when we are at the meet, cover up your plate with something, or remove them. use a piece of the blue tape that people are bringing.

it only takes a minute to cover up your plates, but it takes a few hours to remove them from 300+ pictures.

Good idea! So that we can assume that any car with NO license plate cover doesn't mind to show it on the pics. I for one will not gonna have time and will not remove all the license plates from few hundreds of pics.

People KNOW that their car is going to be in photographed. Too many people assume that photographers are going to spend all that time removing them.

It takes a person 1 minute to cover it up or remove the plate, and hours on end editing hundreds of pictures!

Are people going to want us to start blurring faces too?

although i may make something for myself if i have some spare time.

here's an example of what i used to make for large events. there were about 40 cars at this particular meet and only maybe 6-7 people even used the covers i made.

who else wants one? i have to run down to kinkos and see how much they charge to print these and once i figure that out, i'll let you know how much each will cost. im not going to charge anything for my time, i'll only charge for the materials/printing.

i was messing around for a bit and came up with this format, what do you think?




anybody have any clue how much kinkos charges for color prints on legal sized paper? if it ends up being too much then i could have them printed in black and white to save on cost too.

i just ran down to kinkos to ask about the price and they said if i supply my own paper which i will since i have an unused stack of legal sized paper, they said the cost for a color print out like that would be 59cents each. so i guess i'll charge $1 each just to make things easy for me when collect money and giving change. does that sound fair guys?

also i'll work on a new version without the lower bar and i'll try to add a little more to it make it look more appealing.

can we get a list going of who wants one and how many so i can keep count. also please dont ask for one if you're a maybe on the meet still or if you feel like there MAY be something that will prevent you from coming to the meet because if i get one made for you and you dont show, its money out of my pocket, even though its only 59cents each, its still money.
