When it's out they'll announce it on the board and you can buy it from acurazine and I'm guessing acurazine only since it's only manufactured here.

It was pissing rain most of the weekend so I didn't take any shots. I'm picking up the engraved knobs from the laser engraver this week so I'll take some pics then.

Pics of custom engraving or just the standard 1-6, R?

Man I can't wait to see how these look in the car. Not just a pic of the knob, but a pic on the car, too!

It's going to be a 1-6 H pattern with a twist.

Custom engraving does not look like an option at this point. I decided to go with laser engraving for it's unique look and sharpness, however the setup costs are fairly high and it just doesn't make financial sense to order one piece.

understood...and will the numbers be colored?

If so, a blue to match the dash might look good...red, too...or maybe red for reverse...

Laser engraving is black only. They burn the pattern into it so there are no dyes or paints involved. Therefore it's an extremely durable surface but you can't choose colors. It's also very shallow compared to conventional engraving (only a few thousandths of an inch deep) so it's a smoother surface for your hand.

It would be nice if I could offer different colors but I don't want to sacrifice quality for some red or blue numbers. Everything I have done with these knobs has been focused on making them the highest quality possible. They're made from the best alloy, machined on the best CNC lathes, and engraved with the best technique available. They'll last forever.

Should something come up in the future where I can offer different colors or custom engraving and be assured that the quality is unaffected, I'll certainly do so.

Hey Dan,

Hopefully you have your job situation squared away!!!!

Any word as to how soon after the M/T is released that the A/T knob will available?
... The suspense is killing me!!!

I'm sure if Dan takes his time we'll all get a better product and considering what is going on for him regarding his job situation I'll patiently wait till they're ready. Oh btw thats for an 02TL-S a/t.
Thanks, Jeff

Laser Engraved

I snapped a quick shot at work today but I'll take more this weekend:

This particular knob is a prototype so it's a little dinged up compared to the production models.

should I take some shots to show you exactly what the thread on the PSPEC short shifter looks like? Then you can tell me if it fits or not... these things look tight as hell.

Way to go man. Damn.

Dan, you should make the reverse 'R' the same font as the R in the site name.
