nioce, Auto is a must have, and for those complaining about the knob being hot in the summer... The pain will make a man out of you. Wonder if custom engraving is a possibility. And a deep drilled hole would be sweet, so the knob sits really low, kinda like the SMG knob on the M3. A leather boot for Auto trannies would be another sick mod. those numbers get filled with dust and are real hard to clean.

Manl, that knot is badass. You can count me in for one

Is there any chance we can get a more close-up picture or maybe one from an angle?

Nice job, Dan! Do you have nu-cut or are you doing it by hand? Either way, it sounds like fun.

I'll take some daylight shots next week and a few different angles as well.

Nice job on the shift nobs can't wait to see the AT application.

How about some Break and Gas (clutch) pedals drilled out of aluminium for AT's and M's.

It does look nice, however I the last time I had a metal knob it got too hot to touch in the summertime. I had to put a beanie over the knob to shift my car.

Dan, I just bought a PSPEC short shifter. Would this knob fit on it?

I'm about 95% sure it would work, but I need more information about the kit. I'd be willing to work out an arrangement with you'd like to try one. When you see them available through the AcuraZine store, send me a PM.

im interested in one for the 1st gen cl as well. Maybe you can make it so that its like the momo knobs, with a pretty much universal fit, all you need are the small screws that go in on the sides

man these are badass.

cant wait till you get some for the first gen CL, A/T. and like someone else said, a boot would be sweet as well, those numbers do get dirty.

I had a momo knob before and I was pretty disappointed with the set screw design. They constantly needed to be tightened.

From the looks of it, the shift knob on the 1st gen CL has the same thread as most of the other MT Acuras. I don't know if it's the same size since I don't have a 1st gen CL to work with, but it looks promising from the pictures i've seen.

We should meet up sometime to see if they'll work. I work in Oakville so I'm sure we could find a place that's convenient for both of us.
