AcuraZine acquired by Internet Brands!!
I knew it would happen one day. Congrats soopa! You think you'll regret it later (just a little)?
Cause you know Acura is gonna come out with a V8 RWD Coupe and all of us old CL guys are going to upgrade and more people will visit the site because they are going to want to know what the buzz is, and then since AZine is all corporate now Acura execs will be lurking the site, and the entire Acura line-up will be RWD V8 w/ optional turbo (except for the TSX which will be a V6 NA) and then the site will really blow up and then after all of that... the pigs will start flyin' and we'll all talk about it in Ramblings

I’ve actually visited Acurazine since it had its e-mail active (spooky_3ce@acura-tl.com)… Love the site and what it has become... I’m glad that there are not going to be any drastic changes to the site… Hope IB's purchase of the site does greatly improve our Azine experience...

I just wanted to publicly acknowledge the sale and congratulate soopa and astro on all the work the put in for our site. Hopefully they got paid lots of money. From what we know nothing's going to change other than the site's responsiveness.
I've been around here for six years. This has become my favorite place to hang on the 'net and what impresses me the most is how many people don't own their Acura anymore and STILL hang out here. Moderating the boards here is a true pleasure, especially in the RL section, where I hang out mostly. The regulars there and on TL are great.
Not to mention that I would never learned anything about modding my car had I not come here. I've now modded all three Acuras I've owned and plan to mod my wife's Pilot too. Damn you, I mean THANK you all!

I hate to sound so negative, but I really cringe when I see corporate buyouts of the things I like. They always promise in the beginning that we won't see any changes, but as soon as the no change policy begins to affect their bottom line, the changes will come. Corporations exist to make money, not make people happy. I assume the main thing we will notice will be way more ads for all of their other sites and various products they want us to buy.
I love this site. I think it is the best run site I visit. I actually would have gladly paid a membership fee to keep the site independent.

Let it work out.. soopa and astro have gotten us this far with the best site, they won't let us down. Plus if you READ THE WHOLE THREAD, astro says he is in charge, so there won't be any big changes.
