Yeah... this upgrade requires a clutch, and this 9th gen had preemptively upgraded to an Exedy Stage 1.

For anyone wondering, the gains with no cooling are roughly about half of what you see on this dyno. You'll be at 260whp or so, give or take (again, on this dyno -- where I watch 2012 Si's baseline 160-164whp bone stock).

Just installed the new downpipe and exhaust. Cutting the bumper in the morning and painting the bottom black. I will post pics. Good news: this exhaust IS MUCH QUIETER than the last set up, bad news, got a new loud rattle from somewhere under the dash and I scrape REALLY bad now pulling into my garage....

I scraped too the first time I entered my garage but luckily I was able to turn the circular brackets so the screws sits on top of the pipe and I clear the bump entering my garage by less than an inch now but no more scraping.

Here we are. I cut the exhaust down almost 3" to make it look more flush. Let me know what you think!

Looks like the cleanest cut so far. Any close ups? I'd like to know who did the best job... only because I'm not involved though. Hahaha

I'll take a close up in the morning. It was professional buddy! I can't imagine a cleaner cut. I am very happy with the results

here's a closer shot. Raining pretty hard so quality isn't great. I'm going to try and move the muffler a little more to the right to center it better. picture may not do it justice - the cut is 100% clean. We used a small bladed air saw, sanded it down and then painted the edge flat black.Name: cut_zps1c399d81.jpg

Looks fucking great. When you see if you can move it over see if you can lift it a tad too. I would anyway.

Looks good man, the cut back tip fits nicer than I imagined it would. Im still stickin with my setup up though lol. Are you planning on putting a heat proof u-shaped strip on the cut or do you think the bumper will be ok with the high temps? Im still undecided on the matter. Also cant wait to see your numbers once you get it tuned again...gives me something to look forward to when I have the money for flashpro and tuning, (getting married in August and shes warring my funds dry at the moment haha).

Id suggest to both of you to get something to resist the heat. Better safe than sorry.

You could always buy some of the reflective gold tape they sell all over amazon. Pretty cheap and the gold would look killer reflected off the polished exhaust tip.

Thanks guys. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Best part is how much quieter it is. Doing carbon fiber wrap on the roof in a couple weeks. Will also be put a front lower tie bar and maybe a front anti sway. Anyone know the stock size for the front ?

The finish is very well done I have been thinking about doing this myself except cutting out enough space for a double exhaust

Does anyone know of a front anti-sway bar that is less than 22mm or less? I'm only finding the Eibach's online and it's 24mm which is too beefy for the front.

Acura is saying our fronts are 20mm and the rear is 14mm.

wow that's probably big enough. Good to know thanks for looking.

My 2 cents for what it's worth (likely not much):

I'm no expert but here's what I do know, stock FWD cars tend to understeerbecause the power/grip is in the front and introducing a stiffer rear anti-swayusually helps keep the car going where you want it. Increasing the frontanti-sway stiffness can (and will to some extent) make the front insidetire lose traction/grip. The opposite is true with the rear anti-swaystiffness, it will make the rear inside tire lift a little bit which isactually a good thing, more power/traction to the tire that needs to create thepower to keep the car turning (which is the rear outside)

On a side note I just put on 225/40/R18 Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 Tires. Great price at $532 for a set. Highest traction rating (AA) and a treadwear rating of 500. I'm not sure you can beat that combination of ratings/price

Looking to buy some tires today some thank you for that!! Ill throw out that name see if Americas Tires has them.

However not looking at 225 series. Maybe 215... or 205 lowest.

Edit:
Your original size on the enkeis looked pretty good. Why did you change?

My wheels are 18x8 so I may duplicate your first set up unless you give me some reason not to.

well since I didn't increase the sidewall aspect ratio (40) I figured why not go as wide as possible with those wheels if I wasn't going to increase tire roll. Flush with the lip of the face now. Rides really smooth. 205's are pretty skinny. I had no issues with the 215 - your call

Also those tires have heavy duty reinforced sidewalls so even less tire roll than non "XL" tires. I got them off Tire Rack.

Tire cost + shipping + dismount and mount and balance was $680 all in. Seems like a solid deal right?

Did you have to get camber kits for the rear? i have been thinking about going with H&R's for my 10' TSX but not sure if i will need camber kits for just springs or not...thanks!

I did not, just a realignment. Camber was reasonable on front and rear. A bit off but not enough to need a camber kit

Wrapped the Roof in Black and the Chrome Window Trim! Looks great. Thanks to BMW2ILX for the inspiration! Going to remove the plasti-dip fomr the grill and have that painted instead - will match the roof/wheels. Also wrapping the side mirrors. Hopefully in a week or so.P1280017_zpsf88f503d.jpg?t=1405099599

Chrome delete looks good on your car. The black and white contrast /panorama look fits the car pretty well. Not a fan of tinted tails, too much negative attention from the police, but i have too admit it looks nice and matches the rest of the car.
