well i can turn on the button for cruise but soon as i hit the sewt button on the wheel is says cruise for about 1 to 2 seconds and then turns off, what is the problem, anyone have a clue?

what cable, behind the dash where it connects to the button?

The cable under the hood. It connects from the cruise control device near the ABS motor and window washer fluid, goes across the radiator and connects to the throttle body.

I love these forums. I have the same problem and now know exactly where to start.

Now I just need to find out why my ABS light comes on intermittently. (CL-S 6 speed) Most of what I have been finding is related to the automatic transmission models.

This is a known issue with older CL. Pedal accelerator cable lug in throttle body is metal where as cruise cable lug is plastic which is known to break away. Acura subsequently changed to metal ends for both.

Instead of spending $400 on throttle body replacement, you can use good quality adhesive to fix it permanently and save money
