Not for sale right now. Im taking it with to the Deals Gap meet just incase I have any problems. At least I can toss that on and be able to drive home.

After the meet, as long as there arent any mishaps, it will be posted in the BM.

as for the uneventful pull now, easy you moved the powerband up with the engine not being able to breath (you lost some of the velocity of the the air in the manifold)

then the intake noise, easy again, get another resonater [like your magnaflow one but shorter though) and weld it in there (not exactly the intended purpose, but it should work though)(or even say spraying the outside of the tube with something like undercoating, might also change the resonance frequency of that pipe enough, that it might not be so loud to your ears, while also at the same time insulating it from heat soak in the engine bay)

Yea, I know I moved the powerband up. I was expecting some torque loss down low. We'll see how much though when I dyno it. And I havent really given it a good pull since I got the car back. I havent driven it today either. I got what I needed from Lowes but I came home and was too lazy to do anything with it. Ill be washing the car in the AM (pollen + rain = ) and Ill do the necessary work to it.

If all goes well I should be able to take a few videos of it tomorrow

28"! no wonder it's so quiet....i have a 14" and it has that G35 sound. But you have CT mufflers for the nice sound.

Wow I was waaaaaaay off

Yea, the CT mufflers do sound pretty nice. Im still having issues with the TB but Im at work right now and I cant mess with it.

The intake is much quieter with the cold-air extension on it. I love it.

Im ready for the ToftD meet, but I had to pull the intake off and put the TL manifold back on. Theres an issue with the TB not sealing and allowing air to pass through causing a high (1500-2000rpm) idle.

The TL manifold and CT Icebox is back in the car. Theres a big difference up top now that I can see. The 80mm throttle body made a huge difference.

Ill be hitting the dyno once I get the new manifold running 100%.

On another note, look for the CR-Kais to be up for sale in the next few weeks

I'm very impressed with what you've done to your car, especially the engine. The 6MT CL Type-S has always been one of my favorite Acuras. Very, very clean, and the calipers look *great*. I thought *my* build was extensive *lol*. No F/I, I noticed, you opted for N/A. If it were as easy mixing/matching parts for the Legend, I would have preferred to go N/A as well, but such is life, the Rotrex will work fine. I'll be checking in on this build a lot more often

I just put 1000 miles on the car in two days, and it was totally worth it. I went down to the Tail of the Dragon meet in Tennessee/NC and I had so much fun. I got decent gas mileage too. I averaged 31mpg on the way there with the AC on at 65-80mph (constantly varying) in the mountains (elevation also varying). Then when I left the TotD I filled up and got home on that one tank - over 480 miles. I didn't have the AC on for the return trip but I didnt dip below 70 once I got onto the highway. Most of the trip was spent at 80-90 up I40/I85. The drive was painful though. It was supposed to take alittle over 8 hours to get home but I made it in 7hrs 8 minutes. I shaved nearly 1hr off the trip there too, which was a relief.

I took some videos of the runs - none of my car though. So Ill be posting them in the TotD thread. Once I get them edited and posted Ill link the thread here.

Ill let you know for sure this afternoon. Ive been on E since about 30 miles from my house, so if my math is correct I should have about 2.5 gallons left - or about 14.5 gallons used for around 32mpg.

You should. It was alot of fun, and thats an understatement.

When mine comes on its about 13.5-13.7 gallons to fill up. The light comes on with two bars before the E line, but I still have gas past the E line. The lowest I got on one tank was 16.7gallons on a fillup IIRC. And that was driving below the E line for quite a while.

I didnt feel like driving today though so I never got gas

the best i could get was 26mpg on the way to canada but now is getting worse i cant even get 20 mpg in my area(mixed hwy and city) sometimes it drops to 16... so how the F you get 32 MPG lol and whats wrong with me or my car?

Actually those numbers are a bit low for a J36, at least under 7th gen AV6 management (which is probably where the differentce is) one guy got 43MPG from leesburg VA to dallas TX and another person with a 7th gen AV6 gets 37-40 driving from Alexandria to his parents in Upper Marlboro NJ.

Now the 7th gen uses WB o2 sensors close coupled to the heads for much more percise fuel delivery (makes tuning a bitch thou).

I have a heavy foot. Every off/onramp I took, if I had the chance to get on it I would. If I were to drive on it easily Im sure I could get mid 30s.

I think people relate more power with worse MPG which isn't always the case. Doing these 3.5/3.6L swaps and porting the heads, opening the exhaust up etc, allows the engine to produce the same power it had before by working less. Every swap thread i've read, guys are getting better gas mileage. So really everyone should get at least a 3.5 done to save on gas. It'll pay for itself....eventually!

but he was also not in any stop and go though, yes he may have gunned it occasionally, but he probably still never fully stopped though, or often

LMFAO, but it sure as hell buys ALOT of gas though

but he also has a fresh engine though, and not one evn with say 50K at least (spotless, vs dirty)(also clean injectors help too with fully atomizing the fuel), which does also help
so i think once he gets a little dirt, and mileage on that motor, it will drop some

Even my old tired 103k mile 3.2l got 31mpg on the highway. And the worst I got in the city was 23mpg with the 3.2. Its all in how you drive it. Im not gassing it at every light, but Im not driving it like my grandmother either.

Most of the drive home from TN was at 80-85mph. I think with ported everything the car is much more efficient.

Im at half a tank right now and Im at about 190 miles. Mostly city driving, high rpms, stop and go traffic. The rolling resistance of my tires isn't that great though, but Id rather hook up then get a few extra mpgs.

Eddie - The intake actually had to come off due to an issue with the throttle body. Paul has parts inbound so hopefully I can get it up and running properly this weekend. You were right about the tb plate not fully sealing though.

If you're looking directly at the butterfly, the 10 o'clock position was hitting the wall of the TB first, causing it to stick open. I hit it with some sand paper and knocked it down.

But, the entire shaft actually has play in it, so sometimes the shaft will be more towards the throttle linkage and it would bind. If I tapped the shaft right on the end with a socket wrench, the plate would close fully.

Im honestly not looking forward to working on it again as its a pain in the ass, but I hope the shims Paul is sending me do the trick. I miss the pull up top
