Center Armrest Loose

I just noticed today when cleaning my 06 that the center armrest has quite a bit of lateral play in it. It's very noticeable from the back seat; I can grab it and wiggle it side to side quite a bit. Is this just "the way it is" or did my armrest somehow loosen up? Is there an easy way to tighten it?

I'm thinking this could have happened when the dealer adjusted my parking brake at the last service (is the adjustment even made at the brake handle?).

lift up the rubber cover on the bottom of the console (the aux/power compartment) and you'll see these two screws:

they are phillips head screws, tighten them down. Those are the ones that hold the back of the center console down.

While you're messing around with those two screws you may as well take off the entire center armrest and install a short shifter

So the two screws were loose. Not sure how that happened... Tightening them fixed the problem, thanks!
