I need to lower my TLX Aspec about an inch...
Has anyone made springs for this yet? I was going to go with BC Racing coilovers, but I talked to Coilover Depot yesterday-they said you lose your driver modes with coils. So I'm back to considering springs instead.

Depend on your budget. I wanted to get springs but it’s due to the pandemic so that is why everything are on delay. Only reason I jump in on BC because I have my wheels and tires in my friend shop waiting to install, hence need it for SEMA. So the wait time on BC is 6-8 weeks. Once either Eibach or H&R is out, I will sell the BC and get springs. But yes if you on a budget I’ll get springs. Or if I were you keep calling Eibach or H&R. The more inquiries they gets the faster they will speed up production

If you have an A-Spec, you don't have adaptive dampers (same as with the RDX). The drive modes won't change anything in the suspension.

^^^ Yea, but there is no need to spend $1,035 when I don't care about adjustability of the shocks. I just want an inch lower.....

3 options:
1) cut your springs
2) do it right and get coilovers and sit the car perfectly while also being able to adjust the ride firmness
3) leave it alone.
$1000 isn't a lot for a quality drop.
And if 1000 seems like a lot then you don't care that much about doing it in which case leave it alone.
and if you're hellbent on the 1 inch drop and can't stomach the cost then cut a half coil off the springs and be done with it.

Cutting the springs just for the looks is arguably worse than what the herrafrush/stance crew does to their cars. At least in their case, there's no "right" way to do it without sacrificing ride quality and handling. Wheras to achieve a one inch drop, there is most definitely a right way to do it that doesn't make the car drive worse.

I think all that will do is trick the computer into not putting into safe mode killing the ability to change drive modes...
I don't think it will actually retain the characteristics of active dampening and the changes that occur from actually switching modes.
