Oil pan leak.

While changing the oil, I finally located the leak coming from the oil pan seal/gasket…crawling on the transmission casings and dripping on to the shield…
its is a very minor leak but its there…and its annoying..
its coming from the joint near the sensor in the oil pan…

I will talk to a dealer about it, but they told me if its not dripping on the ground its not a leak…well it is a leak…!!!

Does anybody have procedure from the service manual on oil pan removal and installation/sealing?
I looked under the engine snd it looks straight forward…

thank you.

I would pull the black cover off under the flex plate and make sure it's not a rear main seal as in your pictures that cover and the bolt are quite oily. Oil pan leaks are very rare unless the pan has been off. Also, when you have the black inspection cover off look at the 6mm bolts that hold the oil pan to the block. I have had two Acura's that leaked through the bolt. I was able to remove the bolt put some silicone sealant on the threads and reinstall the bolt and it sealed the leak. Not sure what type of car this is on but some Acura's it is very difficult to remove the oil pan.

It's difficult to determine exact oil leak source looking at the provided pictures.
With that said, perhaps purchase a can of brake clean and spray away any existing oil residue, drive the car, then revisit to try & pin point?
Looking at the yellow arrow 'wings' (for the lack of a better word) of the oil pan they appear to only serve as a mating point for the transmission?
The red arrows point to where the flat area of the #4 oil case seal assembly (honda bond seal) would mate to the flat area of the oil pan & secured by the #34 flange bolt.

Then of course, there is that (known on Acura's /Honda's alike) dreaded prone to leak $21.15; #24 rear main seal.

I took the black cover off as well....all is dry and clean inside, no traces of oil or oil residue...so I assume there is no main seal leak....
I did not check the two 6mm bolts that hold the pan... will do that soon...
