Guys, what is the Master Unit? Reason I ask is the dealer is currently replacing (23 TLX Type S). My accent lights have gone out three times now. The second time, they said "bad puddle lignt". I understand that one. No idea what the master unit is or what it does? Thanks

I just picked up a 2024 type S and am realizing not to mess with anything in that car as far as the lighting system goes. I removed the right rear door handle light and found that the ambient lighting is wired in series or in an even more complicated way, meaning if one of the lights is removed then it causes the rest not to work. If the right rear door handle is removed the left doors do not work. If the right front foot light is removed none of them work. This may help you get a hint as to what is going on in your situation. Maybe one light being out is causing everything not to work.

You are correct it is all daisy chained. Different systems can share fuses too. Anyway, the dealer worked on mine again. The issue, they say this time, is moisture on a connector going to the lights. He said this is an issue they are starting to see on various cars. The solution is to put some kind of grease on that connector. I'm still a bit worried because while that keeps water off the charge, what is the source of the water? I've only driven the car 700 miles in months so it's not like I'm putting it through its paces.
This is why I fear getting any tinting done.

That part number plugged into dreamshop.honda.com for the 23 TLX Type S pulls up the graphic below indicating #5 as the lighting master unit:
If I had to guess, the lighting master unit lives in the general vicinity where the red arrow is pointing?
Therefore, in regards to 'moisture', perhaps the heater blower unit or evaporator subassembly, in that area, as well could be generating condensation build up / drippage as a result of AC use versus an actual leak from, say the windshield seal?

Good sleuthing...so can we order ANY part on that site, or does the dealer have to do it? Can I replace my exhaust this way? I want the PMC.

I use Dreamshop.honda.com to source the latest part numbers then use those part #'s to shop for the lowest price.
The best thing to do, when it comes to procuring ANY Honda / Acura part is:
1) Proactively research & find the exact part number you need.
2) Online search Acura / Honda OEM parts vendors for the best price. (sometimes more expensive Acura parts can be had for less $$$ on Honda OEM online vendors because they are used on multiple brand platforms)
3) Enter those part numbers into their 'Cart' and test to see how much handling / shipping / sales taxes they levy as part of the total cost shipped to your door.
This will allow for the most 'informed' decision in deciding to proceed.
You will ALWAYS do better, price wise, to stay as far away as possible from dealerships.

I already laid that out for you on the thread below with dreamshop.honda.com prices.
Do your cost comparison and pay particular attention to the 'shipping' charges to your door, because that's going to significantly drive up the price for those large items.
You can also interact with them, from the comfort of your home, if you have further questions for a future order.
