Did the 2022 TLX fix the 2018 TLX transmission issues?

My 2018 TLX ASPEC sometimes feels like its slipping gears. It's hard to explain and it's hard to replicate if you bring it in for service. I know it's an issue on 2018 models. My question is did Acura fix this on 2022 models?

Thanks,

Will

I may be able to respond to this question. I did NOT have an 18 TLX, but I did have an 18 Accord and it is my understanding that both the TLX and Accord shared the same transmission. I did experience the slipping issue with my Accord and the dealership could never reproduce. Traded the Accord for a 21 TLX and have not experienced any issues with the transmission. Have had my TLX for 9 months and 6K miles and so far so good. The 2 issues I have are the creaking steering wheel (waiting on replacement steering column from dealership) and puddle lights going out (fixed by dealership). Hope this helps.

The Honda 9-speed in the 1st Gen TLX was made by ZF.

The 10-spd in the Gen X Accord, Current Odyssey minivan, RDX and TLX Gen II is made by Honda.

There are Accords out there pushing 400+ hp to the stock 10-spd over a good amount of miles.

my 22 vs my 19 is night and day. shifting on my 2019 was harsh especially in the morning. you can feel ever shift. my 22 type s is nice and smooth quick shifting with the 10 speed.

Have Acura Service be sure your Transmission and/or Transmission computer has the latest firmware installed. There was a TSB for Acuras of similar vintage. IIRC, it was a firmware update and (early) transmission fluid/filter change.
