Center console not closing smoothly.

All of a sudden when I go to open and close my center console it makes a VERY loud creaking/rubbing sound on the right control arm of the arm rest section. You can visibly see it move and that it's no on the correct path anymore or either something underneath is in the way. Has anyone had this issue? I don't mind bringing it in for warranty repair but I don't want them removing and replacing the entire center console as the odds they mess something else up while doing that is high. Hopefully just the top piece itself can be replaced. Thanks!

Just pull the back of the center console off where the rear seats vents are ,it all comes off , its held in place with 6 clips and it will give you acces to the armrest hinges and springs, armrest is held in place with 2 screwes...
maybe one of the screws is lose or missing causing it to pop out of its track...

Awesome, I was trying to figure out how to gain access to it, and if I do end up getting the dealer to replace it under warranty I was hoping the entire center console didn't have to come out. Thank you for the information.
