I've had so many issues with my TLX I would be scared to flash my ECU. I'm def going to get the burger tuning once I get my car replaced and or full fixed. I def would like to know the increase in performance it does for the TLX. Keep us updated!

Any first impressions with it? I was curious if it was worth it, specifically over Hondata. The TLX is my first Acura since my RSX Type S (sold in 2010). Seems like a lot of things have changed. I am waiting till well after break-in for this, but figured, I would start to get some impressions from people that have done it.

Nice video. So, I see they dropped a K&N 33-5041 air filter into the box. A quick check on Amazon says that filter is not compatible with a '21 TLX.
Likely Amazon is not up to date on new model.
What are anyone's thoughts on this? Seems like it should work.

That is the one I bought from Amazon. It fits perfectly.

Granted, the motors are the same, so it should be fine, but it was interesting that they did not recommend the OTS tune.

You peaked my interest with the Phearable tune. I ended up biting the bullet and buying KTuners anyway. Running a stage 2 tune (have been for a month and a half). Response from Phearable is that they only offer custom tunes for the TLX. There is no OTS tune that has been tested on the TLX.

"We do not offer a Phearable off the shelf tune for the TLX at this time.
We do offer Ktuner units which are and include tunes for some TLX ecu software numbers"
As he was really quick to reply to my intial inquiry, I just submitted my order for a K-Tuner through Phearable a few moments ago. (I'm big on competent and responsive client service.) I'm sure we can work out a great tune.

Yeah, they confirmed likewise with me as well:

Looks like my Ktuner is scheduled to arrive today...guess I'll be doing some tuning tonight!!
EDIT: KTuner received and reflashing completed. (Stage Two) Absolutely see a difference, particularly in throttle response and power delivery. I actually followed this dude's instructions:
I did note that the Accord 2.0T tune has two step settings which I like but is not included in the TLX tune. But all in all I'm very pleased.

We cannot confirm or deny any future development plans.

So yeah it helps to show interest and communicate with them. I already emailed PRL to ask about their planned support of the Type S because that will affect my buying decision (and yes they're planning on having a Type S shop car coming)

I reached out to Hondata and they point blank indicated that they have zero intention of supporting the new TLX. Sounded like if I showed up with my TLX, they'd file tresspassing charges against me. Safe to say, Hondata is off my radar indefinitely.

Until KTuner comes out and then it's suddenly "oh we were planning on supporting it all along". Which is what happened with Accord.

I won't have any more to add until I get to the track or have it dyno'd. I did mix it up with a modded Golf GTI; long story short, largely a stalemate but the guy seemed disappointed.....probably annoyed that my badging reads 'A-Spec' and not 'Type S'. (pure speculation on that last part)

You should have told him about your tune so he wouldn't feel so bad, lol. If those dyno figures are accurate, you're actually making a good amount more HP and more torque than a stock Type-S. All while weighing about 230lbs less than the Type-S. Although the Type-S likely has a broader powerband, I'd wager you'd still take one with your current set-up.
Just based off my seat of the pants feel, I would be surprised if a stock Type S was able to take me. While getting warranty work done on the MDX (nothing big), I met up with a new Type S owner. I encouraged him to join AZ and we do plan on doing a track day as soon as possible.
