IPhone 12 gets HOT!
Since upgrading to IOS 16.03, my iPhone gets too hot, in the wireless cradle in my Acura TLX
Keeps reading that the phone will resume charging, after it cools down

I just upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro and haven't noticed any issues. I'm also on iOS 16.03 as well.
Have you considered enabling "Low Power Mode" when your battery gets too low?
