Mine finally built

Mine was finally built and VIN received by dealer. Sent to me. They've been getting deliveries approx. 14 days after VIN. That would mean mine
took right at 9 mos. to arrive after it was ordered!!

The last 5...including the just built 2 with VIN's, to be sent to my dealer are all Type S models. They are clearing out the back log of orders. No other TLX's
have been received or are on the way. 3 arrived recently, and mine and one other have been built.

Also, they are getting their first Integra. 6-speed trans version, A-spec. It will be their "show and tell" car. It will arrive in about 2 wks. VIN assigned.

Glad to hear you will be getting yours soon.

I definitely love driving it compared to my 2015 TLX, even though I'm taking it easy due to break-in period.

Thanks. I saw yours in the "delivery port." I drove one some time ago...their show and tell car. I had an '18 TLX A-Spec. Must say, I really liked it,
and should have kept it longer than I did. It was also white/red. Opt. Acura wheels, and was just a great, quick, fun car and I liked it's size. Not that
crazy about the new one's re-do on the A pillar forward. But, overall it's a nice sporty 4 dr.

From all my saved Acura printings and notes, etc, the base Type S has gone up twice, now totaling $900. $500 then later another $400.
I believe that is correct. Does not include extra cost for paint or Delivery charge.

Dealer should be able to tell you exactly where the car is and it's current state of build.

My dealer told me when first 2021 TLX's were ... completely built, awaiting shipping, when there were on the truck, when they arrived at dealer, etc ...

Did you pickup yours today? I think I saw yours when I went to go pickup some parts.

Thinking of ordering type S, getting estimates of 4 months. Last time I ordered a car 3 month in advance it was different time, no deposits required

Any advice? Like any tips to make sure the price is locked in and no late surprises?

Required deposit is common? should I expect it to be refundable at least in certain cases like delivery further delayed?

You’d have to confirm with your dealership but I ordered mine within the first batch and I put a refundable $1000 deposit on my Type S in May 2021. I got the car on August 18th 2021.

As for pricing I was quoted by my salesman that it would be MSRP. If you’re ordering a car I’d make sure to get the price in writing just to cover your bases.

I've ordered way too many vehicles to list here...for sure, but, always get it in writing. If there is a deposit required...make sure its refundable for any reason. Life happens
and you may not be able to buy when it arrives. They can sell it, trust me! Also, in writing the agreed upon buy price and that you only want the Accessories that YOU want
and authorize...NOT what they want to put on when it arrives so they can over charge for things. Many do that!!

Also, depending on the dealer, allocations are tough right now. My dealer is one of the top in the country...they were told they couldn't order any MDX Type S's in Aug. Waiting
to see IF they can in Sept. I don't think they can order TLX Type S right yet either. '22's are done. I got the last one my dealer could get. VIN last four...1676. '23's are on hold.

Mine took 8 mos. from time of order to arrival...!!

Those were crazy times. Put down a deposit in July '21 for Blue/Red Int (option for Blue/Orchid then White/Red). Was offered a Black/Black in November, passed. Supposedly Blue/Red in January '22, it didn't show up at dealer. Nothing until April '22 when a White/Red showed up at the dealer. They honored the MSRP for the '21 model for a '22. Done deal. Great dealer, just many issues with getting cars at the time.

Mine took about 6 months. Ordered October 2022 and delivered around mid-March 2023. I didn't order sooner because my dealership couldn't secure a test drive as every one that came one was immediately sold. Finally got a test drive in October and felt good about placing an order.
