Seriously:

First fill up today after 187mi. Showed something like 320 or something on the range meter after fill up
. Trip average was 13.7mpg. Pretty much spot on with my MDX. Can’t image what that’s going to look like when I decide to have fun with her.

As I mentioned before, the real experience comes with daily driving. A few slower cars texting/ reading books behind the wheel and it takes a subtle additional pressure on the accelerator to get up past legal speeds and pursue front of the pack.

One thing I noticed in sport mode, even with slight spirited driving, the white gauge that moves up and down to the right of the red turbo indicator moves up and down but the red turbo indicator barely fills up. I got on her a little bit and the turbo thingy started to fill up, but it was just before I was uncomfortable with getting on it too hard during break in so I let off.

I can’t imaging what this thing is going to do under full boost (obviously be only .002 seconds faster than any other car that’s $50k less according to half the above users) but I rarely will need it. I was next to a red mustang today, showing him that his showing off doesn’t phase me, look down, too fast. And I was in comfort…

I'm at about 660 miles, I can say that you will fill up alot as the engine breaks in.....this 3rd tank of gas isn't being drank nearly as fast as the first 2 😂

Keep in mind I upgraded from Honda to Acura simply because I make more money than when I drove a Honda. Don’t forget, Soichiro would strip any amount of features just to gain a fraction of a second.

Leith is the mega dealer here in Raleigh/Cary selling everything from Chrysler/Jeep to Maserati & Rolls Royce.

Picture was about the giveaway keyrings being identical. Buy a car from a Leith store & you will generally get two. They also do boxed Leith pen & pencell sets. A lot of other stuff that will show up around Christmas etc.

If I wanted to do a BMW thing I would have used the other side that just has the Rondel or maybe this.

Yes, the type-s has been underwhelming so far. There are better choices out there in the space. At the end of the day, who cares. We all have a passion for cars more than the average person.

Didn't say beat. But the fact that $22K Accord with 189hp is .3s to .5s (max) within $50K TLX with 280hp...I mean, come on. Familiarize yourself with K2 that was exclusive to 6MT. It had higher redline, much better take off from dig vs CVT, lighter, etc. TLX can't break 6s. Every video has it 6.6-6.8 or more. Where is this 5.6s that people tell fantasies about?

I think we're forgetting that folks like C&D deduct 0.3 sec for the 1 foot roll out. Once you include the roll out, then it matches what folks are getting on the street a lot more.

Since C&D uses the same method for all cars, the Type S is really 5.2 sec on the street or worse (4.9 sec w/o roll out).

If you have the att hotspot I would imagine that the app remote start is unlimited range. My remote button works pretty well, I did notice the range was a little better than my 2G MDX.

Just to be crystal clear, I mostly reserve expressing any hate on AZ for my 1G TLX. Then this thread came along and I couldn't help but express a little hate toward it. Specifically this post within this thread. Specifically this line within that post:

When using the remote start via the app, it doesn't matter if the hotspot in the car is on or not. I was referring to using the AcuraLink Remote Start feature either at home, at work, or anywhere your phone can get a data signal.

As a new owner, you should have received a free trial subscription to all the features of AcuraLink, yes?

Yes, that's what I'm saying. I've never activated the hotspot as I never needed it.

If your last new Acura was a 2G MDX, wouldn't you want to check out AcuraLink whether or not you intended to continue the subscription?

I have my TLX now for 6 months and the remote part was ending next month of the free trail. I like this part of AcuraLink and I just paid for another year for the subscription. Summer, cool car down, Winter, warm up car, plus the other items with that part of the Link.

I'm with OP on that. I would have opted out of my free SiriusXM trial if I could have. I had/have zero interest in listening to it for free let alone subscribe since all my audio needs are met through CarPlay.

I also would have opted out of the free HondaLink trial, but that would have been a mistake on my part. I actually love the remote. There is no limit to range. The signal goes from my phone via server to the vehicle, either through cellular or satellite (not sure). It has worked every time, including from inside a building and from across town. I won't renew the security or concierge packages, but plan to subscribe to the remote. OP you should give it a try and no I didn't activate the ATT hotspot for it to work. It's pretty cool.

I can understand the XM radio and Hotspot, but the others are nice even you only have it for few months. I miss the Sattelite Google map for mine, it needs to subscribe to the service. Most of the time I have Waze on the center infotainment and satellite map on my virtual cockpit but not anymore.
