TLX TYPE-S MOD Ideas ?

I've only had my TLX Type-s Tiger Eye Pearl for 4 days, it's fast and all, but i would like to ride curves on the road. The way i can with a 2021 Accord Sport Special edition. I like being pulled in the opposite direction (in my seat) when i turn. Thoughts ?

Does your TLX Type-S come with the optional light-weight wheels and high performance summer tires ?

If it does, it can already run rings around the 2021 FWD Accord Sport SE.

I agree, my S hugs the road...it is not the fastest car I have owned but it is certainly one of the most fun to drive. I am not sure what your driving tastes are but I always accelerate into turns and the car handles just fine. It is REALLY hard to get the wheels to break free, if you have confidence in your driving the car will respond in kind.

Accessorizing the TLX Type S

Some ideas, do like the full-size spare with the same wheel as the other four

That means a spare tire kit would fit in the trunk.

More gas pedal and more steering angle in turns should do the trick to get the torque vectoring in SH-AWD going. SH-AWD is far, far better in twistie duties than FWD, and that's saying something as Honda is the king of great-handling FWD cars. Just be careful out there...

Anyone who slaps on some performance tires on their TLX-S will benefit and see the difference; after owning a CTR and having 18” wheels with performance tires, my new TLX-S falls short of having the same grip level - granted these are two completely different vehicles. For the little bit that I’ve driven my TLX-S, the stock tires on the standard 20” wheels are okay. I will say that most TLX-S owners didn’t buy this vehicle to strictly throw it around the curves, but the all season tires that come standard could be better.

You should realllllly take some time to learn what SHAWD is and what to do in curves/turns/etc. You're lifting off the pedal going into the turn and braking which is exact opposite of what SHAWD is. When you think you need to brake, that's when you need to give it full throttle. You just have to be confident in yourself and not hesitate or back down because if you let off in the middle and start to panic brake, understeer galore. Remember, SHAWD is only active with throttle input. If you're off the gas pedal, nothing is happening, there's nothing being applied to rear wheels. ZERO. So many people don't realize that SHAWD requires throttle input to get active. Watch the little SHAWD digital screen when you lift off gas pedal. You know why bars disappear (torque applied)? Because it isn't there. Also, I can't help but to notice you mentioned Accord SE. The only reason you're having fun in corners is because of that old saying "it's more fun to drive slow car fast than fast car slow". You're limited by 1.5T CVT in what you can do in a corner so by pushing that car 8/10, you're having a blast. DISCLAIMER: This is purely talk, I am by no means encouraging you to go out and try risky maneuvers. Don't get hurt. Stay safe.
