Is there a tune for the A-Spec and/or the Type S?

I put a tune on my 2016 Mustang and the car is a lot peppier. It’s not a game changer but I can tell a difference. Is there a tune for the new TLX in either the A-Spec or base model and the Type S?

I did a few searches and did not see anything so I’m guessing no there is not, but just thought I’d ask!

As of now, I believe KTuner offers a flash tune for the TLX with 2.0L engines. As for the Type S, only system right now is a piggyback system from JB4. I believe KTuner is working on a flash tune for the Type S but I don’t have solid information on that; only something I saw on social media.

You mean this? That’s not bad for a few hundred dollars from looking at it. Stage 2:
Improved throttle response
Removed throttle dampening on low end, better performance off the line
Reduced turbo lag
Improved low-end and midrange torque
Boost level adjusted
  • Up to 60 lb-ft of torque increase over factory
  • Up to 45whp increase over factory
  • 29whp peak-to-peak
Producing a much more sporty feel, drivability, and additional power throughout the RPM range!

I have that tune plus added a stage 3 from Phearable.

As I’m FWD (2.0T of course) you have to be graceful with the throttle off the line if in Sport mode.

Derek Robinson from IMW (@DRobIMW) is developing a Ktuner tune for the Type S. If you’re looking for a tune, John Vega from Phearable or DRob is what I would highly recommend. Stay clear of any piggyback tunes, tune it the right way.

DRob already has the Aspec TLXs pushing north of 400whp with their 4 cyl. Serious power can be had with the V6 in the Type-S once a tune is developed.

Doesn't matter if the drivetrain can't cope. PRL found the limit of the 10AT on their 2.0T Accord to be ~420wTQ. An RDX with SH-AWD starts seeing slippage at ~360wTQ. How much more robust is the Type-S unit? Time will tell.

Would think its at least as strong as the MDX-S system. Anyone know its torque capacity?
