Hello guys,

I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem with their new TLX. I bought a 2023 Type-S recently, all black with tinted windows so it looks amazing. However, my girlfriend has noticed that I spend an abnormal amount of time in the garage doorway, just staring at my car.

I can't help it because the car is so damn CLEAN. Anyone else having this issue?

When you own the best looking car in the segment....no on can blame you! After all, there is no other car that looks as good as the TYPE S in this category. Acura just need to pish 25 more HP to make the best car in the segment. That's all! I saw TYPE S on the highway the other day and wow! It stands out in the crowd.

 

Yeah I don’t think people would complain if type-s was anywhere between 385-405hp stock.

 

Honestly, give it 380-385. It will be great!

The current Porsche single-turbo 3L-V6 generates 335hp, which is exactly the same hp spec as for the Acura single-turbo 3L-V6 that is powering the TLX Type-S.

Later this summer, Porsche will release a new revision single-turbo 3L-V6 and will crank up the output to 349hp. So it is technologically feasible for Acura to bump up the TLX-S to at least 349hp, if Acura chooses to do so.

 

even 378 hp would be acceptable, just 1 more hershpowerr than the RLX Sport Hybrid but at least you could call it the "most powerful Acura since the NSX".

Uhmm. TLX Tyoe S is 355 hp stock. It should have been 400 out of the box to compensate for the extra weight and it would keep up with the competition. It still would be in the middle of the pack only.

 

This is actually normal behavior. The car is simply too gorgeous.

 

400-500 hp would be nice. But in its current 355 hp form, there is no lack of buyers purchasing the TLX Type-S. The only obstacle in the way is the stupid, greedy dealer charged ADM.

Also, current Type-S owners don't seem to consider "being the fastest drag car in the class" is their top priority, the fun factor driving the Type-S is.
