Ran over construction debris on my TLX Type S today while a few blocks away from my house. This doesn't look repairable, but I won't know until I bring it to a tire shop. I'm more concerned that it damaged the rim since I felt the object while slowly driving to a safe spot. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare, so I will try roadside assistance tomorrow.
Sorry to hear that. In the event that it’s not repairable, you can ask your dealer if you can have a vendor like tirerack ship to them so they can install it while saving money on the actual tire pricing. In case you end up going outside the dealer, make sure they have the equipment for road force balancing! Good luck!
That really sucks. I got something similar 6 month ago and the dealership put a big ass patch on the whole. The tire still going strong. That being said i don’t corner like I’m on a race.
That was around 1 1/2 in by 3/4 in and it wall all the way in.
My metal shard was a lot bigger and deeper into the tire. This was what was pulled out from the tire. I'm more concerned about my wheel now since it rolled over this quite a few times.
The dealer told me they ordered a new tire and don't expect it until Monday. I asked them to take a picture of the wheel when they replace the tire since I'm curious how it held up.

By examining both pics, my guess is that the wheel/rim is fine. It might have scratched the inside a bit, but not enough to cause a problem.
At my Audi Dealership, the Service Technician is video recorded while working on our vehicles. You can even chat with the Service Advisor and/or Technician while they are working on your vehicle. With you wanting to see inside, seems like that would be handy right-about then.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture since they told me there was no damage to it... except they somehow damaged it either while removing the wheel or re-balancing it. Left 2 white streaks and it's a little bothersome when I see it since it's so close to the outside part. There's also a long patch of double-sided tape from removing weights, which is also unsightly but some elbow grease and googone will clean that up. I've already notified the dealer, but looks like they're taking their sweet time to give me a response back.

Right, Goo-Gone for the residual adhesive, and finish with water. At least it then appears they properly re-balanced it.
If the white it scratched-away paint, a black Sharpie might help temporarily (just draw a thick-line over it). I didn't expect them to wash it, but you would think they could have taken a damp rag to it (very easy while removed from car).
I've never used that machine, but I know it's special, requires some skill, and really required for nice wheels like these.
At least they got the yellow marker properly at valve-steam ... so they were not totally clueless. How does it ride now?

I'm almost 1 year into ownership with over 9000 miles on it and the ride has been great so far. Just gave it a hand-wash today and can never get tired of how great the Type S looks.
Dealer got back to me saying that there was no way that they caused the damage. Only other thing is the towing company. It could've gotten scratched while they were securing it to the flatbed... Not sure how I would even approach this since I don't have any concrete evidence.

Can't really help with that.
However, you obviously like your car to look pristine, and I assume you plan to keep it a while.
I see 2 different colors of paint on those wheels. Might be a good time to locate those 2 colors so you can touch them up over the years of ownership. If you are not really into DIY, I think a pro-shop can help you.

It looks like deep scratches from two ratchet straps as they secured it on the flat bed. Usually, scratches with tire changes occur on the outer side rim as they wedge the tool to remove and install the new tire.

Figured I’d add a picture of what I was talking about regarding scratches with poor tire install/removal method. First time that my usual tire place messes up a rim. Guess that’ll be my last time going there. It drives my OCD nuts.

Personally, I don't care for painted wheels, but you are rarely have much of a say in the matter. On a new car (that you don't want to mess with) it's hard enough to just get a decent set of OEM wheels on there. Luckily, most painted ones do look pretty cool.
I wonder if the machine comes with nylon or hard-rubber coated tools, and they just neglected to use them?

That’s what I think happened there. Luckily I found a new spot that also does road force balancing.
Those are the stock CTR rims which already come painted.
