If you have the update, could you share it with the forum so others could download it?

 

The update is tied to your VIN (data is right there in the JSON file), so I can't share it. Wouldn't really help, because you'd still have to setup the USB key, and if you're doing that, you're going to be downloading the update while there.

 

Got an update OTA when I just checked. Downloading it now. Will see if it's the firmware 1.4.1. 2024 Acura TLX Aspec here.

Based on posts on Reddit, that does seem to be the case. Funny enough, the updates started in Canada a few weeks ago.

 

You are correct. My understanding is that the updates are for models that already have the wireless Android Auto/CarPlay (split screen) OEM option. For the TLX refresh, only the '24's and the earliest model '25's will get it. Unfortunately, the '21-'23 TLX models did not have the wireless option. We have to use a dongle to access the AA/CarPlay or use a cable. The wireless option was part of the '22 MDX refresh after a '21 hiatus, so it got the update.

There was also a map update for the built in GPS system I was notified and updating right now. Seems like a very large map update

 

I saw some notes that wifi map updates were coming in the future (unstead of requiring USB). Must be another new feature of this update.

 

Seems like both my Acuras got the update today. My MDX aspec got the update as well
