Anyone else disappointed in the stock Bridgestone tires?

Hi, everyone. Took ownership of a black on black Advance FWD a few weeks ago. Beautiful car. So far, love most things about the car. The one exception is the excessive tire noise over anything that is less than smooth road. Coming from a 2015 TLX that was very quiet I expected a different feel as they are completely different cars but the tire noise is nothing like I expected. It came with Bridgestone Turanza EL440 tires and everything I have read online is that these are crap tires known to run loud. Anyone else experiencing this? They were overinflated too so I lowered the psi from 40 to 34 which helped a bit but still not great. Any suggestions on tires that would be better on minimizing tire noise? Actually considering swapping tires if it helps even though the car only has 400 miles on it.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Acurazine. Having recently come from a 19 3.5 PAWS to a 21 A-Spec, I can say that generally agree as the EL440s do run louder than the RE97s on my 19. The model seems to have a fairly mediocre ranking on Tire Rack.

That said, they’re not noisy enough to me to warrant replacement at this time. But if I start to hear major howling when cornering then, I’ll probably swap out for a Pilot Sport 4S set.

Mine seem a bit loud, but the main gripe is they groove-wander like crazy on grooved pavement at any speed higher than 50 MPH. Makes the car wiggle like a belly dancer and is not a pleasant sensation.

My Michelin Primacy's are fine; had them on my last TLX, as well
Great for wear & tear; they squeal on hard turns, but are great in the rain
Thums up!

Nothing new. Back in 3G days first thing I did was pulled the factory Bridgestone summers. Also took the opportunity to go a bit oversized to 255's.
