Yeah it's weird that it doesn't have it but that adapter paired with the fact that the Carplay port is in the center console so you can hide it away is a good workaround, for me it's worked at least as well as every other factory wireless carplay I've used and better than GM's implementations which I've always found to be glitchy garbage. Done plenty of voice calls, streaming, navigation, etc with it and it's been solid. I definitely wouldn't give up your PMC reservation over it!

This morning I spotted a 2024 base TLX in Lower Manhattan. Looks like the grille is revised, but I do not see any difference in the rear bumper from the current model.

Wow! thanks for uploading these shots. I'm curious if they're going to release a Type-S and include the Fog Lights...

It appears to have the frameless grille and diamond-pentagon pattern of the Integra.

Irony is that the frameless grill is how the Type S concept appeared when they initially debuted what would become the 2G TLX.

Assuming that's an A-Spec, looks like they're doing a tone-down on the rear spoiler. Sort of recall the same thing happening with the 1G TLX when it's MMC debuted.

I highly doubt that considering Acura purposely left out fog lights on the Type-S in order to have fully functional vents instead for increased air flow into the wheels/brakes

Thanks for sharing these great pics. Looks like front grill will be frameless and similar to Teggy. Also, the same looked in TYPE S spied pics!

Looking forward to seeing the final product soon.

I don't know why they would test in Manhattan. It is so far from their normal Ohio R&D places, and takes forever to go anywhere or do anything with traffic.

My guess is this is a deliberate marketing plant by Acura to generate buzz... driving around in NYC guarantees that someone gets a spy shot.

So I’m not sure if I can post an IG post, but someone from tlxclubofamerica posted some really clear pics and mentioned some spec sheet info. They said that the majority of enhancements would come from interior upgrades based on the advance package as well as some updates to brakes, suspension, and possibly a new drive mode.

Is it just me or does it look a little shorter in the front, almost like they shrunk it and it slopes a little more downward? Can't imagine they would spend the $ to do that but if so it would be a welcomed change, as it's one long car currently.

From what I saw, I think that is mainly visual. The new grill is more recessed, and the opend-up space gives you the impression of shorter length.

I am disappointed at exterior tweak to be honest. The grill itself is a huge improvement, but why did they leave the intercooler intake the same? It should be meshed without that ugly horizontal element. In other words, just give us the Type-S concept look!

Also, why change the Type-S wheels when the existing ones look good? I read going to a five-spoke design as cost saving, so hopefully that means more tech upgrades.

BTW, I am still amazed by the number of TLX MMC spied lately. Feels a bit like PR moves to build hypes - afterall TLX section is the most popular here, so if Acura want to take advantage of viral marketing, TLX is the best vehicle.

On the other end of the viral spectrum, no spy shot of the small SUV whatsoever. Only that one reddit leak and everything went silent afterwards.

I believe these are all staged spy shots. If I saw this I'd of snapped 100 pictures. 20 minimun of the interior lol, tires ,wheels everything. I'd be chasing the driver out the parking lot on foot lol.

They won't change much...new grill less the ugly shiny cube and maybe mild massage of the rear bumper....but....with only 3 trim levels the Type S MIGHT be equipped like the Advanced...so more stuff.

Glad to hear that!
yes, that Acura logo with little plastic must go 😂

most people don’t like the big Acura logo but I like it on my MDX! If Type S Advance comes, that would be amazing.

lol. No. We aren’t even going to have a Integra Type S in our shows in February lol. Actually, Acura is not even going to be there. Technically the dealers have to put it on so…

No other major car show than LA.

Last year, Acura skipped Montreal auto show! To be fair, not just Acura most major brands didn’t show up.

Probably, Acura will just do a mini event and bring the new tlx. Since it’s MMC, i doubt any major event will take place.

we just placed orders today. For Dec? But…may ne no changes til 25 now. Just seemed odd ordering them.

nee colors though: liquid carbon and urban gray (see Honda accord).

3 builds:

FWD Tech
AWD A Spec
Type S

we’ll see on any changes. Nothing drastic if they do though.

This means there would be no A Spec Apex Blue in FWD any more?
