2023 Type S brembo brake caliper paint chipping

Hey guys, I noticed during a wash that the paint is chipping on both front calipers. Car has only1k miles on it.
Is this a common issue?

Had mine for 20 months (thats how you age your baby right?) and they look great still. Attach some pics maybe?

Had my type s brakes retrofitted on my ASpec for 6-7 mo now. No issue on paint chipping. Did you use any washing chemical that very acidic that might cause the chipping?

Unless you whacked them up by doing something stupid or drenched them in brake fluid/harsh chemicals, they shouldn't be chipping. Bring it back to the dealer and they'll fix it ... unless you did one of the aforementioned things.

I'm curious to see how bad it is. No noticeable chipping on my calipers.
Some pictures would be useful.

Got around to examining it and it looks to be some black gunk stuck on the calipers. I used some rubbing compound to get it off and all is well. Phew!

Good to hear you remedied the issue, eventhough you never posted pics 📸.

Hopefully, we can CLOSE this thread.
