2023 Acura TLX Price Starts At $40,745, Model Gets New Services
The hand-assembled Type S PMC Edition starts at $63,995.
The Acura TLX rolls into the 2023 model year with minimal changes. However, the automaker introduced earlier this year the hand-assembled TLX Type S PMC Edition that now joins the lineup as the top trim. The 2023 Acura TLX has a starting price of $40,745 (all prices include the destination charge), a slight increase compared to the 2022 model, which has a $39,995 starting price. Every trim sees a price bump.
While the TLX doesn’t receive any direct updates, Acura does include some other goodies to justify the increased price. Every 2023 TLX will come as standard with three years of AcuraLink, including the Security and Remote packages. AcuraLink allows owners to send commands to their vehicles through Amazon Alexa and monitor various vehicle functions through smartphone connectivity.

So the regular TLX Type-S goes from $55,295 (dest. charge included) to $56,945 for the 2023 model year. Wasn’t expecting that much of a jump in price. But it is what it is, however they’re making it even harder to not look at what the competition offers for the same price.
I think we all can agree the TLX-S is a $50k car at best, though some here thinks it should cost even less than that.
Suddenly a lightly used M340i xDrive doesn’t sound too bad.
Still gonna follow through on the Type-S but I won’t lie and say that I won’t look at a used Type-S (that’s not insanely priced) either.

My prediction is that used Type S models will command outrageous price tags from both private sales and dealerships. If you paid a couple k ADM, wouldn’t you want to recoup some of that back (sunk cost fallacy)? Problem is used car demand is starting to fall and the recession will further reduce the number of potential buyers.

So long as the drivetrain doesn't implode once people start pushing decent power (mid-upper 4xx wHP), I'd absolutely jump into a TLX-S for ~$50k. But, with the higher starting price and limited supply (even once the parts shortage is over, I'd wager the TLX remains the lowest produced vehicle by Acura), that's unlikely to ever happen.

The AAwireless puck worked mostly seamlessly for me to convert a 21 TLX loaner into wireless AA. I'm pretty sure other puck brands perform similarly for either AA or carplay. So lack of wireless can be fixed with about an hour of effort and $100.

That may be true for phones on Android but newer MagSafe iPhones have a tough time staying in the charging pad to charge. Anyone know if Acura has addressed this in newer TLXs?

These devices don't charge, they just make carplay/AA wireless instead of wired.
I stopped relying on builtin chargers as the ones in my wife's 22 RDX charged slowly if they worked at all for our phones (Zflip4). Acura says 15W charging speed, but the phone always seems to overheat and disable. Instead, we use aftermarket charging vent mount, as the vent keeps the phone cool and I can keep swapping out the mount as charging tech improves every 2 years.
When I was in a TLX 21 loaner it looked like the RDX charger ao I just moved over my vent mount and didn't bother trying it. I doubt the 23 will change anything about charging, the RDX only got tech updates in the MMR, which would be 2024 for the TLX.

The dealer that sold me my current TLX A-Spec is has been (lowkey in a sense) trying to sell me on buying a TLX Type-S PMC but knowing that it msrp’s for $63,995? It’s a no go for me. I probably will hop on the waitlist for the Long Beach Blue Pearl PMC for shits and giggles, but ultimately I’ll be looking at a regular Type-S. Perhaps when I’m all set to go on it, used Type-S prices will be abit more palatable compared buying one new.

The TLX-S likely won't ever get Advance features. Heck, the TLX Advance itself has basically become extinct. Acura seem to be allocating those features to the more profitable RDX and MDX. Unlike the RDX which got an A-Spec Advance, I wouldn't be surprised if Acura dropped the Advance trim from the TLX altogether for the MMC. I wouldn't honestly care, but with the price hike, they can go f- themselves in their respective buttholes.

360 camera still missing is just sad (especially when they already have the mirrors from the Advance). The mirrors need to be power-folding with cameras. Drop the puddle-lights if necessary (since is apparently so hard to keep them dry). Not sure where they are on the other cars, but on my Audi-A5, they are on the door-handles.

Rear USB sure, 360 camera and HUD should’ve been standard on the Type-S trim from the BEGINNING

very much so this, the increased msrp doesn’t help either…love me some Acura but they been going ass backwards lately. Maybe the 1st Gen TLX is the best all-around TLX model

So a few changes in Canada for the 2023 TLX...
Also Canadian Apex Blue Type S's have officially reached unicorn status, as there were only about 50 units allocated to Canada between 2021 and 2022, according to my sales rep.
I have to say I prefer black chrome over gloss black. The former is much harder to manufacture and gives off more sparkle, while gloss black IMO gives off a plasti-dip vibe when it loses its shine over time.
- the base and tech package TLX is discontinued, and only the A-spec and Platinum Elite (aka Advance package) is available for the 2.0T model
- Apex Blue is no longer an option for either the Type S or A-spec
- the black chrome accessory emblems are now gloss black instead

You could reason it's the opposite - the TLX was siphoning Integra sales. This past year, instead of a 1.5T FWD CVT Integra, for only $3k CAD more, you could get a 2.0T SH-AWD 10AT TLX (there was never a FWD TLX offered in Canada for the 2nd generation).

US 2023 TLX only has the SH-AWD option for the A-Spec and Advance:
https://www.acura.com/tools/powertra...odelSeries=tlx
Strange move, as an AWD Tech was a nice sweet spot and popular in my area with our seasons (at least w/ the last gen, I don't see nearly as many current gen TLXs).

I've always wondered how the ES350 would have done if it had an AWD option.
#37
It does have an AWD option, the ES250 AWD. It got AWD the same time as Camry since the ES is a fancied up Camry essentially. It's a 2.5L 4 banger for AWD.
