2022 TLX - What's new/different?

Acura has finally listed the 2022 TLX. Anyone out there know a way to quickly look for differences between the 2022 and 2021 models? Wondered if there is a way to do a compare on the Acura website, or if I would have to export all the detailed specs and just go over it line-by-line.

It’s likely that the only difference is it’s a 2022 rather than a 2021. The second year isn’t a refresh so everything tends to stay the same.

I saw a big difference - Acura is putting a good amount of cash on the hood to clear out the 21s. Conquest/loyalty is $2.5k!

No major difference other than MSRP increase close to $500.

Good news is that Acura aren't deleting features due to the chip shortage. Other manufactures like BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Tesla, GM have been deleting features like touchscreen functionality, satellite radio, heated seats/steering wheel, navigation, wireless charging, LED headlights, power seat options, power steering wheel adjustment, USB ports.

Thank you!
I saw, I don’t remember where, a picture of the 2022 Type S front and it looked like it had a camera above the Acura badge that my 2021 does not have. Of course they both have the lane keeping camera up above the rear view mirror. So maybe that gives you more parking info. I hope they will put the cameras under the mirrors and have a 360 parking camera also. My lowly 2019 Rav4 Hybrid has that and once you have had it, you really miss it. The Advance has it, why not the Type S? It is really hard to understand the packaging decisions made by car companies. Maybe it is based on chip / parts/ module availability.

I believe the Canadian market got the Type S vehicles with the 360 degree camera feature, we weren’t so lucky here in the states. To your point, you’re right, it doesn’t make sense why the advance trims get the feature but not the Type S?

Hopefully Acura addresses the missing Advance features for the 2023 TLX Type S like they did on the RDX 2022 Advance A Spec. I for one must have the heads up display on any car going forward after having it on my 2021 TLX Advance.

I feel like with Acura advertising this as a performance car that’s a feature that should have been standard.

The only differences between MY21 and MY22 for the TLX are the the $500 price increase (not bad %-wise considering AHC increased MSRP for what seems like every Honda and Acura model by $500) and the lack of an FWD option for the Advance, which makes sense.

After the big MY21 TLX redesign Acura shifted attention to all the other models for MY22 (+MY23 Integra). The good news is the apparent lack of design defects and flaws allowing for an unchanged MY22 carryover (although I've seen reports of un-Hondalike panel gaps). No surprise, an Acura salesman previously told me that the RDX was really the "beta test" for the TLX since there's a lot of commonality between the two.

Really wish there was a way for Acura to cut the weight a couple hundred lbs, especially for the Type-S (ltd. edition Type-R?). I keep finding myself wishing the car was smaller just because of how heavy it is, but then remember the "just adequate" rear seat and trunk space. As an owner of a 4G TL I'm used to the overall body size but not the rear interior room.
