2021 TLX Base Headlight vs A-Spec Headlight

Hello all.

I'm a used part reseller and I bought a batch of headlights from a body shop. I have a pair of 2021 maybe 22 TLX headlights. Honda lists two different part #s for the Base model (33100-TGV-A03) and the A-Spec model (33100-TGV-A13). I'm searching on ebay and I cannot physically see a difference. One listing specifically says they are not interchangeable.

Honda doesn't put part #s on their lights for whatever reason. There is a little QR code sticker at the top which scans to be A0-33100-TGV-294-20, but that doesn't appear to correlate with anything.

Any idea what the difference is and how I can tell? I can provide pictures but I'm not sure that will help.

Thanks

To my knowledge, I do know Gen 1 TLX A Spec the housing are slightly tinted than the regular model.

But for as far as the Gen 2 TLX A Spec and regular TLX head lamp, they are the same. I do know A Spec, Type S or Base can be cross reference regardless of its model.

I looked through many used listings for these, and one seller said "This is A-Spec model (black strip)" (it could have been the other way around but i think that was it. I looked through more listings and I cannot see a difference.

Here's the light. I just like to know exactly what i'm selling so it doesn't get returned.

Aspec and Type S both have darkened lenses compared to the other trims. I would expect there to be two part numbers, one for Aspec/Type S and one for the others.

I can definitely tell you those aren't typeS headlights. The typeS headlights are black where that upper chrome piece is, just above the lights and also the side piece after the last outboard light is black. I would GUESS Aspec are the same as typeS? This picture you have is likely the base or tech model. Best bet would be to go by a dealership and look at the different models...but when I go on acura.com and choose the base/tech model, in the 360 view, head on, it definitely looks more chrome around the entire string of light lenses on the base and tech models.

Edit: Also above the orange reflector where is says "Acura"...it looks silver on yours. On the typeS that small piece is black.

I went to the dealer and looked at regular models, A-Spec and Type S. Type S is the top of the line model trim and as far as the headlights, the only difference I saw was the corner "ACURA" logo behind the lens is smoked. As far as I could see, everything else was identical. I guess I was a little confused, i'm out of the Honda / Acura scene. I think Base, A-Spec and tech are regular, while Type S has the headlights with the smoked corner logo.

Not correct. I'm going to upload some pics of my TypeS headlights shortly. As I mentioned, the top of the headlight strip on yours is chrome and TypeS is black. Also the side strip on yours is chrome and TypeS is black. Check back soon and I'll have the pics uploaded for you.

See photos of the typeS headlight. Sorry for the glare but I'm being lazy and didn't feel like pulling it out of the garage. But you can see the only "silver" is on the piece just below the headlight lenses. The rest is black where yours is chrome.

Gotcha. It's hard to see but that makes sense. Thanks
