Can someone clarify which specific '21 models have the gloss black diamond pattern front grille as opposed to the flat black diamond pattern front grill? Please note that I'm not referring to the outer trim piece, but rather the diamond pattern mesh itself. I can't seem to decipher the differing part numbers between base, tech, a-spec, etc. Based on my research, CARID was one of the only websites that actually included a diagram to-date. I know other more reputable Acura parts websites will likely be updated in the near future.
I see three different part numbers for the non Type-S models and have to imagine that one of the differences is gloss black vs. flat black.
Since Base and Tech (non A-Spec) share the same part #, my guess is that Advance is only structurally different in order to hold additional sensors, etc. But overall they should look nearly the same.
Given your avatar, I assume this is being retrofitted into a 3G, in which case the additional sensors, etc. likely won't matter. But if it really matters, you'll likely have look at them in person at a dealership to spot the differences. Or maybe some forum members would be willing to snap front/rear pics of their grilles...
Thank you very much for your input. Yes, your assumption is correct. The 2021 Acura TLX front grilles can be retrofit with the sharkmouth grills from the third generation models. That is what I intend to do here.
If any users have a few readily available pictures of their front grilles, sharing them would be greatly appreciated to help determine the differences.
