Painted Stock Rims 18"
I decided to Plasti Dip my wheel satin black. It completely changes the look of the car. I will be lowering it in a few weeks and spacing out the rims about 35mm

Whoop never mind. Stupid me. Looked at the pics first and forgot to read cuz I was so curious hah
Can't wait to see it lowered with the spacers. What spacers are you thinking about getting? Been doing some digging around and haven't found a legit option besides motor tech custom making them..

motor tech is the only company out right now that is making them or would make them for the TLX and they are a good company to buy from. I am almost positive H&R and Eibach will be coming out with spacers very soon for this car too. I have always ran H&R but i don't have a problem buying another company as long as they are made well, so I will probably pick up the motor tech's in a couple weeks.

I did get them professionally done, I found an authorized shop on Plasti Dip's website. I can see this getting addicting and I might want to do my entire car. Its pretty reasonable in price for my whole car (quoted $800) Maybe with my tax return money

It does look good, but I'm still not sold on the entire "blacked out" look. I like the fact that you can remove the PlastiDip and change the looks without having to permanently altering the wheels. I like the OEM wheels on my TLX much better than those on my CTS.
Are there going to be any issues with the durability and heat? I'm thinking about doing my calipers with PlastiDip.
