More steering input needed

hey guys anyone notice on their Aspec that they need to steer more often. It feels as if the car needs 2 hands on the wheel constantly, kind of like tire wandering. It’s not so bad but never had this on my 15, I’m thinking it’s something with the 19s on the car now

Try turning off lane keep assist completely with the lower left hand button and see if you notice a difference. I feel like my car is all over the place sometimes then I turn it off and it stops. I swear the system is stronger and more active than the older models

For some reason the car has two “on” features for the lane departure. I pushed the button to turn the always on feature off(lower left below steering wheel). Then I turned on cruise control and pushed the button on the right hand of the steering wheel to show the lane keep assist feature. It still works to keep you in the lane but the squirrelly nature wasn’t there. With the lower left hand button on it returned so maybe I will keep that one off full time just like the engine stop start and traction control.

hey yup i disabled that a couple of weeks ago and don’t have any plans of turning it back on lol. The car has been like this since day one so today i rotated my tires and the issue seems to be gone, it may be a defective tire from the factory. I’m going to call up Michelin Monday and see what they can do tires only have 3300 miles on them.

Another thing to keep in mind is, as a general rule, "on-center" feel is reduced with every increase in the width of the tire tread. The best car I've ever had from the perspective of on-center feel was my 1979 Scirocco which came with 175/70 R13 tires.
