I live in Quebec and lot of snow in winter plus lot of holes on the street, I am thinking to buy 18 tlx shawd aspec this year, not sure the stock 245/40/19" tire is Ok in winter so wondering if i can use smaller size of rim and tire like 235/45/17" same like my current tires on 2007 tl. Any idea and or suggestions?

Yes, 17's will fit. You do however need top buy specific 2018 TPMS sensors as they are different then the 15-17 sensors.

The dealers in Quebec have winter tire packages in the fall. You can negotiate them in at the time of purchase... even when you're purchasing in the spring. Try targeting below 1800 CAD for a set of 17 inch OEM mags with TPMS. (another option is to lock the price of the tire package at the time of the car purchase, and pick them up in the fall)
